I think it depends on the situation as CXM stated. For customer goodwill, it might be beneficial to offer a dollar for dollar credit on something else. I am a bit confused as to what your TOS are.... Read more »
What do stores do with their returns?
If the customer reports them as defective, they throw them in a box and sell to a liquidator/jobber. If the product is still in unused condition, they may reshelf it. Buying returns is a dicey... Read more »
