Thanks Wholesale, I actually figured out how to find pricing on their site after I posted this. I am actually pretty close on the pay dirt, but not close enough.

I am really trying to understand this whole DVD thing. I think it may be because of the whole Hollywood thing that makes people want to get into selling DVD's. It may also be the herd menatlity of purchasing DVD's. Just watch the 2 for $11 DVD's at Wal-Mart for a short period of time. They have good titles for that price to. I understand it takes major volume to get these.

I watched a booth at the local Flea Market, people were just flocking to this booth. These people are not hard to figure, I have already found enough sources to compete with them. They buy NR probably at local Wal-Mart to lead people and also sell older used titles that have been resealed. You can get titles as few as 3 weeks old at video store. Local one has DVD on sell 2 for $20. They are selling for $14. Thats not bad if your selling a lot of these older titles that you buy at a pawn shop.

My problem good or bad is that I have serious ethics issues with this (unlike a former President of ours, I think character counts). By not telling people these movies are used they are telling a 1/2 truth. And a 1/2 truth is a lie.

I will thank all of you experienced folks for all of your input. I know it is frustrating to keep rehashing the DVD thing. It seem there are always people coming to the forum on this topic.

Keep in mind, that not all of them have in mind to sell on Ebay, some just want to buy cheap movies and the pirates who sell counterfiets prey upon them pretty easy. Having been in their shoes, dealing with the list after list that is pushed upon you I can relate.

I have learned a lot and hope that all of your responses to my posts help educate those who may be foaming at the mouth to get into the DVD biz know that their work is cut out for them.

bkenn,if I recall your biggest beef has been flea marketers selling new sealed new releases for $13ea or 2 for $25.Now, if I`m interpeting right there is someone selling PV as new for $14??or are you talking about same person?

As for the PV`d,I`m sure if you walk into your local mom and pop video store and tell them you want to buy 100 or whatever used they`ll probably cut you a deal especially if you offer cash on the spot. Many of these smaller stores are financially strapped week to week like most small businesses. They originally pay $18-20 from Ingram etc,but have rented them many times over by time they put them for sale and have made their money back, but they are always chasing money for the latest new releases.

Yea, these people are selling resealed titles, but at $14. The problem is at this particular Flea Market the owner has refused to rent to DVD sellers (his daughter sells them there). So I would have to go in selling something else and gradually shift to movies. I am not really crazy about being full time in the Flea Market biz. Thats why the state wide Flea Market appealed to me. I could handle giving up one weekend a month.

The person or should I say persons because there is at least 3 or 4 of them selling the NR for $13 are selling factory sealed (security seals, rebate stickers and all) is at our state fair grounds, happens 1 time per month.

I talked to one of the guys (super nice guy) and he said at the other Flea Market he works, he sells them for $15. He told me he pays between $11 and $11.50 for his movies. I gather that he sells about 400 +(this may be a conservative number) movies during a weekend. He pays $90 for a booth, so he comes out with about $500 for the weekend. This particular Flea Market is a 3 day event. On holidays you get 4 days. On some holiday weekends about 100,000 + people attend.

Highly competitive on not only DVD's, but other items as well.

Wholesale, I really appreciate your input and help. I have met some really nice people on the forum.
