I am looking for an affordable website to sell merchandise. Yahoo shopping is $39, I know I can find something cheaper. I even beleive they take a percentage of sales. I know there is something cheaper out there and maybe even free. Please help if you have any info.
Thanks

I own the company YourOwnStore.com, Inc (http://www.yourownstore.com) that provides you all the tools/templates/space you'll need to run your webstore. From displaying your wares, to invoicing, autoresponders, discounts for new/repeat users, etc.
Your monthly fee for this service is $29.95 (and we include much more than Yahoo!) Also, we provide 24/7 email tech support as well as a toll-free number to get you through those emergency situations where internet correspondence just doesn't work out.
Also, we offer a great referral service, where if you have someone sign-up for the service, $5 will be waived from your monthly fees for as long as they remain a client. 2 people, $10, etc...
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via email or PM. -
Go to http://www.keywebmall.com
at the top of the page click on "GetEstore"
Fully stocked store for only $49.95 a year. -
Don't use those.
Buy the lowest package from dnspixel.com and install oscommerce. -
keywebmall is just another SMC site. Selling a few other things and an affiliate of a web store outfit.
If you want your own real store, that you can put anything you want in, including downloadable books and music, check my 10,001 Gifts link below.
I can hook you up with a store of your own, for either a fixed monthly fee, a percentage of sales or a combination of both. If you don't have a merchant account, you can also process cards through mine, through a secure site.
I'm not in the site selling business, but I do have my own server and a "mall" type program that will allow me to set up as many stores as I want, each with unlimited items, categories and sub-categories. -
How about Wholesale411??????????

how about an actual web site done by a designer?
It will cost a bit more up-front (if interested, i can do for under $300
), but you get full custom design, accept payments however you like, pick your hosting plans, and control all other aspects you can't with the other methods, not only that, hosting is cheep after the innitial cost... 35/year will get you everything you need. -
In response to the growing market of small to mid-level businesses wanting to aquire a useful internet presense, but not spend a fortune.
http://www.netfrontwindow.com
We offer a range of hosting, design, and domain maintenance plans to fit any advertising budget, with web based database packages, and virtual storefronts available as well.
If we can be of any assistance to members of the Wholesale411 community, we welcome the opportunity. -
I paid http://www.LowPriceBuilder.com $250 for full custom design with 489 products for my web site ----> http://www.Alogofashion.com
They send a web designer to my office teach me how to use the web builder. They can design your company web site, if you at the beginning stages of creating website or too busy.
The only thing I don't like about them is they don't provide marketing support. I still searching for the best way to promote my web site.
Do you have any marketing plan for your customer? if you do ,how much do you charge?
Thanks for your input.

The major problem with custom sites is that you still need a merchant account and gateway. So, 3 bucks a month is piddling pocket change compared to the card discount percentage, the monthly fees, the gateway fees, etc. to operate a stand alone storefront.
Don't want to seem like I'm spamming. I posted this in another forum here, as well. Check this out -
I can supply a complete, ready for you to load your inventory, site with credit card processing included. I'll talk either monthly fee, or percent of sales.
One-time setup fee of $ 60.00 for registration of domain name, setting up to 5 email accounts under the domain, unlimited items and categories, unlimited bandwidth.
Will supply whole package, including shopping cart, card processing fees, for 8% of sales. Includes hosting, card processing, email accounts, you name it. I have standard templates such as the link below, or you supply you r own. You enter items, prices, images, etc.
Can also take shopping cart total to PayPal.
PM me if interested. -
