Newbie here.... I'm looking to build an ecommerce site. Can anyone recommend a good company that builds these types of sites from scratch and that is not too expensive? What companies have you used and would say are reliable? I plan to sell apparel online.

Thanks a lot for your help on this!

Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I feel kinda lost and overwhelmed by the number of companies out there that set up sites.

Give me a couple of hours and I will recommend a few.
I don't know the prices...but I will give you a list of a few sites which allow you to develop a test site...and give you a free 30 day trial period..
From there..just check them out and see which one suits your fancy more.
    I'll get back to you..

    Site Builders
You may use one of these sites or any other alternate site that you can find. (there are many) .
Visit these free trial sites where you can build your store:
    http://www.wsmcafe.com
    http://www.instantestore.com
    http://www.bigstep.com
    www2.clicshop.com/
    http://www.ttasuperstores.com/
    http://www.shopsite.com/
    http://www.ipbsites.com/
    http://www.bzwebsolutions.ca/.
Alternatively, you can use other comparable free trial sites to build your store. Just do a bit of research, ask how much it would cost with the company. Hope this helps you out a bit.

    Hi,

I build ecommerce sites. Rates vary per project, but a basic 10 page info site, with an unlimited Miva Merchant Shopping Cart costs $550 not including hosting or merchant account rates.

However, my preferred vendors offer Miva free with hosting for $19.95 a month.

Credit card processing costs and additional $25 a month plus processing fees. Includes Authorize.net free.

So your total out of pocket, before selling anything is $44.95

If you would like more info, please feel free to contact me at 800-628-5764 x 5. My name is Michael.

if you look for ecommerce site builder software, i recommend you
fortune3.com. It's no1. in this field. Alot of computer magazine giving it good rating. The reason i don't use it, because i already have one before i know it.

I own the company YourOwnStore.com, Inc (http://www.yourownstore.com) that provides you all the tools/templates/space you'll need to run your webstore. From displaying your wares, to invoicing, autoresponders, discounts for new/repeat users, etc.

Your monthly fee for this service is $29.95 (and we include much more than Yahoo!) Also, we provide 24/7 email tech support as well as a toll-free number to get you through those emergency situations where internet correspondence just doesn't work out.

Also, we offer a great referral service, where if you have someone sign-up for the service, $5 will be waived from your monthly fees for as long as they remain a client. 2 people, $10, etc...

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via email or PM.
