    I've come across a website, http://www.elance.com, that seems to offer some sort of bidding system where companies bid on projects that you post.

    I was considering trying to post a "job" where I would hire a company to promote/market my company, and was wondering if anyone has used a similar scheme, and how everything went...

    Try http://www.Serr.biz if you want to out source your marketing.

    Also, try craigslist.org. You can post an ad their free, and you will get tons of responses.

    On the serr.biz site, all I see is SEO help. That's not what I'm looking for.

    Serr.biz also offers internet marketing consultant services and traditional print, radio, tv, etc. Which of course should be combined with an 800 numer and an easy web address with tracking.

    They have been highly cost effective for us.
