See I have been researching this for about 1 month or more and some people are saying its ok, some saying it sucks, and some says its good. Trying to figure out 100% for sure if its any good or not? Plus what are the prices like on it?

In my opinion I think they should offewr a 30 day risk free signup. So if your not happy you can get your money back easily. Though i read that two people couldn't. The others didn't mention anything about it except how it was.

    Thanks.

P.S. I sure wish their was a site out their like resellerratings.com but for all the other websites out their for dropshippers, wholesalers, all the directories, etc. That way we could all know the truth about 99% for sure.
I love http://www.resellerratings.com for finding out if a online reseller is any good.

If you're too lazy to look for sources, or read this forum and archives for sources, then by all means pay for the list. After you discover that to be a mistake and waste of money, learn and move on.

You can find these sources just as easy as the guy who pimps the list.

When searching for new sources use different search engines. Sometimes a supplier isn't listed on one but is on another.

    I use the following:
    Google.com
    Alltheweb.com
    Dogpile.com
    Yahoo.com

The key is to look in as many places as possible.

sunhobo ok but where are all the dropshipping that supposely let you only order 1 at a time? I haven't seen many of those. Then again maybe I am wrong. Though it is mainly a list of drop shippers.

sunhobo is their any website like resellerratings.com but for sites like drop ship source directory, wholesalers, dropshippers, etc so people can know 100% for sure what is real or not? That has to be one somewhere out their. I looked for a really long time but haven't found one yet. Well maybe one but it didn't have any ratings for the sites. :(

    To find dropshippers:
    use Google search engine
use search terms "Wholesale dropshipper" and include whatever product you are looking for.
    Use the advanced search
in the do not include terms enter "list, ebook, directory"
Once you find a supplier use the "search forum" option on this forum to see if anyone has comments about the company.
You can also check the BBB.

What do you want to dropship? Maybe I can give you a good source. I don't encourage dropshipping, but if you want to try it I will at least give you free information.

I never said it was a scam. I said you can find the same sources FREE. If you would feel better, instead of me giving you free links I will charge you $49. How does that sound?

Trust me, there is NO source on that list not easily found if you look. My opinion, and again this is only MY opinion...if you are too lazy to find your own sources then you probably shouldn't be in business. There is no such thing as a short cut. Eventually you will want better sources than that directory provides. You might as well learn to find them on your own now.

BBB doesn't approve anyone. They just collect complaints. And give them some money to join the local and that buys some time for the scammers to get their money and run.

They are only a tool. I guess I would compare BBB to eBay feedback.

Well, the term "scam" isnt quite correct here.

They just overcharge you for a list of things you could find for free as Sunhobo already mentioned. I did buy access to that list a while ago and its a bunch of garbage that everyone else already knows about. If thats what you're lookin for then go ahead & spend your $70. Otherwise, do the research & find some sources on your own.

I found it a while back and been researching it for about 2 months. Just curious about other people's opinions.

    Thanks

The Drop Ship Directory is not a scam. There is value in collecting and asembling valuable information and then distributing it to people who don't know how to find that information themselves. What sunhobo is saying is that people who use it are too lazy to go look for it themselves. Which is sort of like saying "I can't believe you bought a washing machine! If you're too lazy to go beat your clothes on a flat rock down by the river, you shouldn't be in business!"
Any Directory is worth it's price if it saves you the time and trouble it would take to assemble the sources you need. Period.

Of course, my directory is free :)

if you are talking about THE drop ship directory i can almost certainly say...it is not a scam....
a lot of people just do not have the time to research the web and email each company regarding dropshipping...

i am a member of THE drop ship directory and i get many emails a day wanting my drop ship info...

i also have a few friends who have purchased the drop ship directory and found it very usefull...

now mind you i have not purchased it myself as i have no need for it as i am a supplier..but i have been told there are several types of drop shippers listed....
from little guys like me all the way up to the big boys (corporations?)...
so i guess there is a little in there for everyone...

personally if that was something i was looking for thats the only directory i would purchase.

If you wish to pay for sources that are available FREE, then by all means go ahead and waste your money. BUT it is against Wholesale4um policy to advertise for sale lists or directories. Information should be easily obtainable and FREE. That is the philosophy behind this forum.

It is my opinion, and the opinion of 95% of the people on this forum, that directory and lists you have to pay for are useless. You can find the same sources by doing a search for dropshippers in the Wholesale411 search engine or Google. Bottom line is, if these sources where all that great, the person offering to sell lists would take his own sources and make a mint selling the products he has listed.

Sourcing your product is the number one most important aspect of doing business. If you don't have the time or are too lazy to do this, then your selling your business and yourself short. That is not exactly the best way to start out.

As for the washing machine anaology, it is a non sequitor. Of course wash your clothes with a machine, but don't pay someone $69 to tell you where to go buy that machine when all you have to do is pick up a newspaper and read the store ad yourself.

Whether to buy a list or not is up to the individual. Do what you feel you have to do. You can accept the opinions of people on this forum who have been in business for years, or simply ignore it. My opinion is just something to consider. But remember, I am not trying to sell you anything...I am trying to help you get in, and to stay in business by utilizing solid business practices.

The great thing about Wholesal4um is that everyone is entitled to an opinion.
