Building Shipping Discount with Freight company

I'm looking to start doing more shipping with my business, however I found that shipping costs is relatively high expecially when you ship in partial truck loads. Items I ship are pretty big. I have used companies like Conway, Yellow Freight companies. These companies gave me 50% discount rates for shipping to start off with. Is there a way to increase my discount more rapidly? Even at 50% it feels like I'm not getting much of a great rate.
