    will getting a merchant account help my sales and also whats the best way to accept or what is the beat way to guard against fraud

    Once the ball is in your court, you must ship to a confirmed address and make sure you have a delivery confirmation and use insurance for the product. If you get a signature for the package, it only gives you more insurance.

    I don't necessarily think that it would boost your sales that much if at all. Almost everyone today has a paypal account and the paypal merchant solutions have everything you need to sell online or on your own website.

    Once you start making some money, then you may want to use some of those profits into getting a merchant account. Merchant account's usually have monthly fees, so many people try to avoid them when first starting out until they have made some money already.
