Furniture from Shenzhen China to USA - FCL Shipping

    Have made contact with a Furniture manufacturer from China. They FOB from Shenzhen.

    I have absolutely no experience with FCL shipping. I've bought single or small sets of items from China, always personal items, never as a business purchase as this will be.

    A few questions I have:

    What kind of companies are available that can handle FULL Logistics on my shipment from Shenzhen, to customs, to Freight, port to my door in KY?

    Anyone have experience with FCL shipping? What kind of fees am I looking at? Best and Worst case scenarios would be appreciated.

    Any companies that someone deals with that have a great track record?

    Any and all advice and info is appreciated.

    In my experience, using a Chna based shipping/forwarding agent is the cheapest way.

    However, as you are a novice you should be able to find a shipping agent in the USA who can arrange the container to be collected 'EX Works' delivered to the USA (by boat), cleared by customs and then delivered to your door. Shop around and you should get a good price. Remeber there will be duties and tax to be paid when you container 'lands' in the USA.
