    Hi:

If I pay someone through Western Union for a sale on iOffer, and they don't send my product, can I sue them? Will they get arrested? What happens.

They live in USA, I live in UK.

Lesson #1 Never pay for merchandise with Western Union. There's nothing much anybody can do.

GOOD LUCK!! It takes many many many cases of fraud before anyone will even listen to you about it!!! If you have not did business with this person then dont do it, its even worse then wire transfer! At least with wire transfers is a federal issue since a bank is involved with the transaction.

I just don't see how given an ioffer invoice, a WU receipt, and their name and information its pretty undeniable......

I hope you didn't get offended by my response. As a victim of fraud myself all I have to say is move on and remember CREDIT CARD ONLY. My supplier was in the U.S. and I'm in the U.S. I was ripped off for $757 about 4 years ago and the case is still under investigation. Just look for your next deal.

Yeah, but do you know if it was his real information?
Was the transaction conducted through a website like iOffer/Ebay?
Or did you just randomly send someone money.

    That's the difference I think.

Even with Ioffer or eBay, neither company has anything to do with W.U. If you call iOffer and tell them that I bought something from your site and payed with Western Union, they will say "You're calling us because what?".

It sounds to me your not listening to anyones opinion. I think you should wire the money then you can be ripped off and then tell us how you can't believe it hapended to you.

Western Union is just you sending money to someone. You do not have recourse.

Western Union is an absalute NO in the wholesale business.
Obvious that the poster never read wholesale forum 411 before. But hah..we all learn a lesson or two.

Pay Pal...really is not very secure. You still have very little recourse.

A happy medium..especially for large amounts of money is using an escrow company. This makes both parties feel comfortable with the transaction. Just make sure the escrow company is legit, well known and acceptable to both parties.

Credit card is the best...in my eyes. Both parties are pretty well protected.

Letter of Credit - Once you've done some deals with a buyer..and you have a buyer that wants to work in volume...both parties can agree on a Letter of credit. Buyer should pay for any fees involved. But this really opens up the relationship and allows both parties to make money due to volume.
