Is Liquid Fashions out of business?
21 posts

Their website appears to be closed down (liquidfashions.net).
Anybody know what happened to them? -
I hope they are just on vacation. No one is answering their emails or phone lines either. I've always had good experiences buying from them - good quality, prices and customer service. It would be a shame to lose them.

Liquid Fashions is no longer operating. According to this new page :

NORFOLK - Authorities are investigating claims that a business here was selling counterfeit clothing and accessories over the Internet, a court document shows.
Representatives of various brands - The North Face, Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci, Chanel and Abercrombie & Fitch - purchased clothes and sunglasses online from liquidfashions.net, according to a search warrant application filed Wednesday in the circuit court clerk's office.
The items were deemed to be counterfeit, according to the court papers .
Authorities sought permission to search for items including clothing and business records at a building in the 3400 block of Mangrove Ave., which bore a Liquid Fashions sign, records said.
Further information was unavailable Wednesday from city police. A check of the company's Web site Wednesday said it was temporarily disabled. -
That's pretty shocking considering most of their stock comes from MJR Sales, a very trusted wholesaler. Hope they work things out............

Exclusive: Counterfeiting bust is largest in Norfolk history, police say

Watch warehouse raid story
Counterfeit merchandise raid
Norfolk police made what they say the city’s largest-ever counterfeiting bust.
Some of the items had tags for brands like Abercrombie and Fitch, Victoria’s Secret and Tommy Hilfiger and sunglasses were being sold as Versace and Dior. But investigators say they were knockoffs.
Undercover investigators hired by the clothing companies actually tracked down Diedra Love through her online business – LiquidFashions.net – that is now shut down.
Candace Moore, 13News
Investigators say these boxes are filled with counterfeit items.
They raided her warehouse and spent the day cataloging items inside.
According to court records, Love was repeatedly asked to stop selling fake items, but when sales continued, Norfolk Police were called to shut down her multi-million dollar business.
Inside, they also found orders awaiting shipment.
Love could face misdemeanor copyright infringement and felony misrepresentation charges.
Authorities say the counterfeit items, mostly coming from China, will eventually be destroyed.
They also said some of the items in the warehouse were legitimate. -
Well, she had it coming then! Are there any legitimate wholesalers out there? And has anyone noticed how JMC Wholesale has removed 99% of their A&F, AE & Hollister stock from their website and listed them on JanesDeals with a NO RETURNS policy? Hmmmmm.
-
Appareloverstock.com has also pulled all of their Abercrombie and Hollister stock.
Abercrombie opened a division to specifcally stop the counterfeiting and selling of their merchandise. You can report ANYBODY through their website abercrombie.com and they also have a 800 number. They will prosecute anybody in the US or overseas.
Also when they shut down these big operations they are getting ahold of the records of customers who are buying wholesale and selling in stores or online. People won't be selling Abercrombi for much longer. -
Their website is now back up and running.. They still have name brands they are selling, so not everything they sold was fake.
As far as the bust goes, it sounds like they were knowingly selling some fakes. In the news article it says:
"According to court records, Love was repeatedly asked to stop selling fake items, but when sales continued, Norfolk Police were called to shut down her multi-million dollar business"
Why on earth did she continue to sell them after she was repeatedly asked to stop? What was she thinking? -
What if its not them and its some other agency who is answering the phones to gain more of a datebase of who buys from them? Has anyone spoken to them and got the real story of what happened?
-
I read in some other forums that maybe the cops are running the show now and trying to gather more information about their
customers who were dealing and buying fake goods. -
This is how rumors start! Has anyone called in and placed an order since?
-
To all buyers:
I never believed in forums as I thought they were only for people who had bad things to say about people.
However, I have to reply to these comments about my company since so many people have been misled into thinking that we are crooks or dis-honest.
If anyone on this forum does a search prior to June then they will find no negative publicity listed about my company. Hence, we were honest.
The accusations that were brought against myself and Liquid Fashions, Inc are large in part to a sabotage from competitors who falsely filed complaints on various items that we sell. We are aware of whom these people are and the authorities are aware of the false claims. The Norfolk Police dept never shut down my company. We willingly took down our site till such paperwork could be provided to the authorities to validate the items that were left in our facility.
I have never run a crooked company nor have I ever sold fake goods knowingly.
My company has always been provided with 100% assurance regarding the legitimacy of the items that we carry.
Our website is live and does offer a 100% assurance on the authenticity of any item listed. We have such proper documentation on file for any questions.
Wholsale buyers and sellers should be aware that what has happened to us can happen to anyone.
Our website is not run by cops, I can assure you. You can call our office at any time and speak to someone on our staff. We will anwser any questions/comments that you may have.
I am assuming that noone has read the last line of the lied filed news report to see that it clearly states that authorities did stress that many of our items were genuine.
I am hoping that anyone who has anything left to say about these matters should contact us.
I didnt run a dishonest company then and I dont intend to start.
I appreciate your time.

Latest news from Liquidfashions -
Im no forum expert but why on july 11 was there a post from the same person who recently posted as the owner of liquidfashions stating the business situation and how they dont like forum trash but they trashed their own company two posts prior?!?!?
-
I'm not sure who the poster is but that post was on the surplus message boards from Deidre herself so maybe someone just did a copy/paste on that post.
-
For clarification purposes, yes, my post above was a cut and paste from surplus
My appologies if there was some confusion there. I just thought I would cut and paste to keep everyone updated. -
And has anyone noticed how JMC Wholesale has removed 99% of their A&F, AE & Hollister stock from their website and listed them on JanesDeals with a NO RETURNS policy? Hmmmmm
Janesdeals site policy has not changed. There is a 24 hour inspection period after delivery. If JMC Wholesale has listed anything, the return policy goes into effect "AFTER THE 24 HOUR PERIOD".
ALL WHOLESALE SUPPLIERS AGREE TO JANESDEALS 24 HOUR INSPECTION. IF YOU WANT TO BUY BRAND NAME GOODS WITHOUT PAPERS, YOU ARE TAKING A RISK.
IF YOU WANT BRAND NAMES WITH PAPERS.. WE HAVE SUPPLIERS. FUNNY THING IS, YOU BUYERS KEEP BUYING THE CHEEPER ONES WITHOUT PAPERS....

janedeals, don't you have a thread of your own ?

Wholesale4um is becoming one big advert for JanesDeals! This is one of the reasons me and many others do not frequent this forum as much.

Alot of the sellers who used to hang out here were busted with warehouses of counterfeits. It is all cleaned up now it is very quiet without all the drama (no more bashing and name calling). Chances are the bashers were the real ones selling the counterfeits. So be happy, by the way, I have true religion jeans with papers at a real good price if you are interested.

I quoted in the past here, you had some 'Genuine Juicy Couture tracksuits' on your site. The style advertised were never even produced by Juicy, they were a style only available from factories in China!
So I think you will find there are many counterfeits on your site too! Not causing an argument, just stating the facts.
As for less visitors, I was talking about contributers not advertisers/brokers/etc.
Finally I am not alone when I say this, every other thread has some kind of shameless plug for JanesDeals and it just pollutes the forum and cloggs it up for the rest of us.
