Is there an alternative to Paypal?

After 6 weeks of having my premire account limited, today they informed me that because I was involved in "high risk behavior"... Dropshipping... they are closing my account.

I have items that have been sold via ebay, and customers that wish to purchase their winnings, but for the past 6 weeks my paypal account has been under a "verification" process.

I supplied all the info, and waited, and called and waited, and emailed and finally 6 weeks later, this. And what High Risk behavior you may ask? I sold a PSP value pack, via Netdropshipper, that the cusomer complained because he didnt get it within 10 days of winning. He did get it, and the issue was resolved. But they have taken the stance that this is too dangerous to be involved in. Hence the reason for the question

Is there a alternative to Paypal, that is just as easy for customers to use, that doesnt charge them or us thru the nose to use it?

If PayPal has a no presell policy how do people successfully use dropshipping?
It is clear that they do, so they do so without PayPal being aware?
PayPal is really the 99% majority of payment form on eBay so that sucks.

Not sure if you can obtain a merchant account w/o a website or store but that's something to consider. Have a spouse or very trusted friend/relative? Set up a second account.

    TGH,

I believe most don't fess up that they are preselling. The only way you can get caught is if somone turns you in. Thus, in the event something goes wrong on the turn, great excuses (lying) go a long way, and at worst a full refund (with apologizing and more lying) leaves them out only the cost of the e-bay fees for the auction. For people with no capital, this is a huge temptation.

But to me, I think there are degrees to this: pre-selling things you have no idea if you can get your hands on (like XBox360s, hoping to wait in a Wal-Mart line) is different than, say, pre-selling a hand-built computer that you intend to make from local parts and absolutely know you can buy them (with the pre-paid cash) and deliver the system within the agreed upon timeline. I think the spirit of the law is to not make people wait for their purchase.

Anyone else have any comments on this?

    i presell
mostly items i know i can get from my most trusted suppliers
i am fulfilling about 94% of presold orders right now
little on the low side. I use paypal as well, and they know it as well.
you can use bidpay and westernunionauctionpayments.
You can get your own online processor as well. If google payments comes out this year
as i expect, they would be a good alternative

On a completely different note, here's my latest beef with PayPal (e-bay):

Dec 19 two other sellers and I were subjected to fraud by mark69volleyball/bigal669@aol.com, an e-bay newbie in Fla. He purchased $8K in computer equipment from the 3 of us and used "fraudulent funds" to pay for it (I assume that means fake credit cards). I figured it out quick enough because he would not provide a confirmed address (made really poor excuses and then became belligerent), so I warned the others to hold off shipping ... but not fast enough to save one seller who "hand-delivered" the merchandise because the guy was tired of my questions and found another person in the same city and told him he had a child with less than a year to live. Sure enough, PayPal reversed all of the funds a week later. And had I shipped, would not have given be a red cent back. The other seller is out $1300 and SOL, except for he has the Fla police involved so who knows wat will happen there. PayPal/e-bay didn't investigate on our behalf (just on the behalf of the person who had the cc stolen to cover their a--es), they obviously don't communicate ... hell, they have not even suspended the guy. They know his e-mail address, they know the delivery address he requested ... to be verified on PayPal they KNOW WHERE HE LIVES! He is still a PayPal Premiere Verified customer and he is still on e-bay (despiite his now -2/25^% rating). But he is still not suspended or eliminated. So what the f--- is that all about??? Anyone :?: :?:

Yesterday I filed claims with payPal, ebay and and an IC3 on this buyer. I also got the other defrauded sellers to do the same and low and behold this morning he has been kicked off e-bay and his negative feedbacks on us removed! But ... he thus far remains a viable PayPal verified member. I spoke to the seller last nite who hand delivered the XBox. He did a lot of investigating and found the guys real home address and phone and basically told him he had 2 hrs to send return tracking or he was going to receive " a little visit later that morning". (I guess he took that road rather than get the police involved). The box was magically returned!

If you looking for another alternative try propay. Its a creditcard gateway and like paypal you can have a mastercard debit card that you can use that is linked to your account. Just a thought.

    YES   ,

I had the same problem and was off ebay for over a month untill I located this company. They are ausome. They accept all forms of payment:

Visa, MC, Dinner, Discover and Electronic checks. They even supplie you with a link to put in your auctions, plus you can email the client same as !@#$ off pal and get paid. Plus the customer pays right away and the funds go direct in to your account NOT paypal.

    Name is as follows:

    Paypal can kiss my !@#$.

I am back and with out them. Pass the word this company is great no problems. And I even got a live body when I called them. Good Luck

Merchant accounts do you allow you to take people's money before shipping goods either.

Is AuctionCheckout a good alternative if you don't do auctions? I take orders on my website but I'm not fond of using paypal to complete payment.

I am using pay pal pro. So far so good, But I am a newbie to all this. For my other business I used propay, but couldn't get a gateway with them, that did't cost a arm & a leg. I like the idea of Goggle coming out with one, thank you randyo156 for that information.
