I have been looking for a broker or a wholesaler of HI (Housewares International) photo frame products for several years and can't find one. They are the source of Family Dollars (and big lots) fancy wooden photo frames and mirrors that are sold for $2-$5 ea. As well as the curved glass frames. I could not find fancy pewter colored 11x14's anywhere near the price of family dollars 11x14" mirrors so I have been buying up the mirrors, breaking the mirror and putting in glass and backing for a total of about $6 plus labor for a large silver frame (which if I would buy wholesale elsewhere is close to $12). I make these matted up into fancy wedding items that go very well locally.

If anyone out there can wholesale (or is willing to give contact info for F.D.'s source HI) or broker these nice wooden 8x10 and 11x14 frames I am interested, I would prefer the frames to be frames and not prepack artwork sets as I make my own artwork. Even if I had to pay more than family dollars/big lots price just for the convience of not having to install my own glass and backs. I am also looking for the HI curved glass frames in the 5x7 triple format, they have not been available from family dollar for about 5 yrs now.

I have also been looking for the asian sources Michaels and Hobby lobby uses for their photo frames without success, I have been making due either cutting my own frames or buying up bankrupcies but I tire of the effort and variability in what I get. I am also finding that salvage sources of picture frame returns are getting harder to come buy.
