I have a deal lined up for some xbox 360s. I am to drive from new york to canada, pay for the items in cash.
After that i would be driving these items back from Canada to the usa.
What are the lagal implications of this. Would i need to declare bringing these items back, and would i be required to pay tax on them.
Any other input would be greatly appreciated
Thank you

Anyone have any insight on this?
thank you -
Yes, you would be required to declare them. As far as paying duties, you might want to check. I'm not sure anything bought in Canada has duties.
You also have to declare your cash on the way out if it is over $10,000. That includes cashiers and travelers checks. -
I would also suggest that if you are paying in cash, to take along some local law enforcement in case it is a scam and you meet some armed people to relieve you of your money. There will probably be one willing to do it for a little extra money.

I don't think video game supplies imported into the U.S. for resale are taxed at all -- that's why the PS2 & XBOX is so cheap in the U.S. as compared to other countries.. But you will have to declare it to avoid any problems.
