Hi everyone.I have read alot of posts in this forum and alot of bs posts. It can get very confusing especially for someone new.Their are alot of people looking to purchase electronics and i am one of them.I agree on some extent that you must purchase quanities to get a good deal.I do not believe that is the only way.Unless you have $50,000.00 or more lying around to start a decent business.Maybe a select few had that comfort but, most had to dig deeper and start from scratch(Hence, the starting point).
I know alot of us sell on Ebay and alot don't want the competition.I for one do not care.I am very dependable and i am very honest .People like that and it carries over and next thing you know, you have people e-mailing you to see if you can get a certain item for them.As a powerseller myself,i know you have your ups and downs. No one person or company can rule Ebay's market. That's a good thing !
This forum is a wealth of knowledge and very educational for even the seniors who sell.I know alot of you will not give out any sources because you think it will hurt your business on Ebay. But,alot of people have a web site that they sell products on or even a B&M STORE.I can see to a point how you feel but,i can also see points of disagreement.
Walmart is the retail giant. My wife works for walmart and is moving up the line in managment quickly. My point is this "Walmart is king of retail but,has that stopped any other retailer that gets their products from the same place ?No.Some are even thriving.I just don't understand why people in here are reluctant on resources but yet, jump on the opportunity to purchase systems that are not even real inventory. It's crazy !
I am not trying to offend anyone or make anyone angry. If you are offended or angry,i am very sorry.I am new to this forum and i would like to know as much as possible about the retail, wholesale world in case i never make it to that point. Thanks for all your input aheAD OF TIME. :D

You are not being rude at all.My point is that this forum is suppose to help you understand a little bit about a business, wholesale, shipping and so on.That is all great !But,most people want to know where to get the goods. That is the golden question . :D
As stated before,i am new here and i am curious about all aspects of business.I find that selling is not the competion.Finding the supplier is. :(

Do you specifically mean just THIS forum or the forum as a whole?

I mean i do not see why some are hesitant. There is more than ebay. For the members who have made it or reached a goal,my hats off to you ! :D
This forum is by far the best i have found. But,you can get help in everyway but, finding electronics wholesalers.Heck,i would settle for refurbished products at times. And i do understand quanities.I do not believe that is the only way.
It may be jibberish to alot and make no sense to others(my post)but,i believe in helping when i can because the very person or people you help can return the favor. And maybe become a broker,wholesaler,retailor,etc.. in the long run and remember where he/she started.Maybe i am old fashion, maybe not.

The one thing you won't get is sources. And why should you?

If I've got a good deal somewhere, one where I can get a real deal and make some money on the product, why should I tell you, so you come after the same people with a product I told you about.

We'll all help you in any number of ways, but good sources are "trade secrets". We'll even give you the bad sources, so you aren't throwing your money away.

And I'll guarantee you that when you find your own "private source" you aren't going to come here and tell the world about it.

No offense bamatronics but asking someone for thir source(s) is like asking KFC for their chicken recipe and then opening a chicken joint across the street. Think if it this way....say you've been able to locate a legit supplier of xbox. They're honest, they deliver, the goods are authentic and you're able to continually go to them for additional supply. Would you be willing to freely give that information away knowing that the person you handed that info to would then be selling on the same platform thus becoming your competition?

Most sellers/owners have invested alot of time and in some cases money to attend trade shows, fly & buy, etc. to build business relationships with their suppliers and no intelligent business owner is going to simply give you this type of information. Obviously the information is out there so show some initiative and do some work of your own. Use the resources that are free first (forums, bbb.org, directories at the library, online trade show publications, etc.) If you're serious about what it is that you want to do, you'll get there but I'm pretty sure your current method isn't going to be very helpful.

Why are we reluctant to give out our suppliers? It's how we make our money.

There is no magically site that once you log in it is going to make you $$$$. This site is information that you still need to filter and process...

I would venture to say that MOST people on this site do not have B&M, and there only outlet is online auction sites, and the king is ebay. So any source posted here is bound to do nothing but affect their sales. This site has alot of users, one posting of a real, legit source making one guy $50 profit on each item can lead to scrambling to make $5-10 profit off a $500 item with a flood of newbies trying to under cut everyone else.

It is not safe for anyone to post a legit source on a public forum if they want to secure their current income.
