there are alot of companies that provide an interface for your website to allow credit card payment.

If you want a serious big player then choose paypal, then you get paypal and credit card payment. But paypal is expensive but so are the others.

I would love to write all of the look outs, but I am tired. Send me a PM and I'll fill you in on how to choose a good one. To me, merchantwarehouse.com is the best for my site. AND STAY AWAY FROM charge.com --- no offense to those who use it but I heard their a scam (rip people off bad)

Also, I've been browsing, another big time player that is very popular due to handling people like Amazon.com is VeriSign PayFlow Pro, $59.95 a month ($249.95 Setup Fee) with additional features you can use. I was thinking of using a combination of PayFlor Pro (which you get 1,000 FREE transactions a month with each additional transaction being .10 cents each --- and you can accept credit cards, debit cards and checks,) and using their Advanced Fraud Service ($89.95 Setup Fee) $49.95 Monthly and .10 cents for each transaction (but it has 7 processing methods to keep from chargebacks to fraudulent credit cards usage.) There is some other addons, but I am still learning about Payflow Pro, since its not a merchant account of its own.... to me it sounds like its more like a pass along thing, IDK, lol.

Paypal will lock your account when you start receiving large transaction amounts. You'' have to provided a bunch of info via fax when you try and take your money out. Just be careful with them.
