We are ready to let a few people test our new 411Shops system out. There are still a few small boo-boos, but these should be fixed in about a week.

What we are looking for are bugs, errors, feature recommendations, and ease of use suggestions. These should be posted in this section of the forum as you run into them.

Please be as descriptive about any errors or suggestions you may have.

The shops must be working flawlessly as there are no bug reports, or suggestions posted.

I have a couple of questions about the shipping & packaging configuration. What is the ISO 3166 country code for the United States? I cannot find it on the web site the link takes me to even after I get to the English version of the web site. Do I even have to configure all of that if I include shipping in my items' prices? Thanks!

the ISO would be "US", this should be there by default. You are correct, You do not have to use anything in this area if you are not shipping the product yourself.

In my Vendor Admin Area the country code default value says the number 0 so I thought I was looking for a number. Thanks for clearing that up. I got frustrated when I couldn't find the country code and stopped there, but will continue on now. I have liked everything so far and would encourage others to check out the 411Shops. :D

    Hi,

I just started my 411 shop and they're are some problems. First, the shipping calculator is not working right. It saying it is $0.00 but later adds the shipping later in the checkout. Also, the Paypal method of payment is not working either. My only option is COD

    Thank you,
    Joe

Joe, this problem should be fixed by the middle of next week. The way payments are going to work is that the customer places the order with you, and we actually collect the money and we will also pay you the difference. If you want to discuss further give us a call at 440-333-7809 ext 107.

Right now only vendor accounts can add more products, however in the next few weeks there could be as many as 40,000 products being added to the network---stay tuned.
Vendors are as close to the manufacturer or importer that we can get and they have to be approved by us.

Does this mean that I cannot add the products & pictures from my own strip mall store to the online store? That is what I have been trying to do--not very successfully, either.

We are moving into 4 "seller" types.

    1. Sellers - cart owners that do not stock any product. They will only be able to add products that are on the network already. Pricing: FREE

    2. SellerPlus - same as above, with the addition of extras such as ability to change the logo, use their own URL, etc. Pricing: TBD

    3. Vendor - This level will allow owners to add products from the network, and add other products to their webstore. This is generally for people who do not stock inventory, but also have their own sources for product. Pricing: TBD

    4. VendorPlus - This is strickly for companies that stock product. These people determine what products are available to sellers on the network. This level is by invitation only.

    Sorry I have another question.

Some times I put the price in for a product but when I check it on my website it has been crossed out and the price has been lowered.

    Thanks Again

Could you give me an example? The only time you should see this is when you place products in the "Specials" area.

    Something like this

    Price: $419.74 $406.59

But the first price is crossed out and its showing the second price as the buying price.

Um...where do I go to scope these 411 Shops out?
I know when you first put these in beta I signed up for one, but for the life of me I can't remember what name I used for the sub URL, nor did I even log into the contol panel to play with the site.

This was something I totally forgot about until I received an email today about the shopping cart change.

The email account I signed up with is not the email I use for this forum, so if you need me to PM you that email so you can look up this info for me let me know.

    No rush.
