Great post. I have often asked that myself. I have heard through various searches and going to trade shows that most vendors won't deal online for fear of losing their inroad with the various clothing companies.

And soon or late the curtain will fall for all those scammers.
-
amen!

Now that I am here, I have learned a lot about fakes, and even know where some of the ebay sellers are getting thier fake stuff, also it is quite obvious the poeple selling fakes are the ones who are making big profits.
it seems unfair -
and then there is this whole authentic or your money back trick, which actually means if you can prove they are fake ,we will refund your money, these sellers do not even claim they don't sell fake, they just say authentic or your money back, hahahha
-
EVEN the biggest names here, which i so want to mention are FOOLING so many people into buying their fake merchanise with theire "100% AUTHENITNC BLA BLA BLA BLA".....
we know u sells fakes, u know who u r! -
So who's on the list of people on this board who don't sell fake stuff?
-
NOT surplus masters

That's a bold statement galactose, do you have any proof? I certainly agree that there are respected members of this board selling fake stuff, but proving it is difficult. How could a company of that size sell fake stuff and get away with it? Can anyone confirm that they have actually been around for 8 years like they claim? Their website reads like a grade school term paper but I'm not sure that says anything about the quality of their products. The spelling and grammatical errors are present in nearly every sentence.
I have never ordered from SM but I have received products from 4 or 5 other suppliers on this board. They all claim 100% authenticity, but I have serious doubts. I will not name names since I have no proof but it is a little hard to stomach. -
check their link under anyone who dealth with, many have complained about authenticity...they seem to broker from two people, one is rohit fashions whihc i think deals with authentic surplus
and someone else from chennai, u can see that the pics they were using were the ones from trinity distribution, and this source only provides fake garments...so they all getting them either tru another medium from india chennai.
anyway i aint going to say more what ive said what ive said....
too many people think about "quality" rather than authenticity, if "quality" is good and their customers are happy its fine, but they need to realise the are selling fake products which is illegal.
where the authentic wholesalers at? we need some here.
my 2 cents. -
whats another thing is they these fake wholesalers here tend to defend each other by saying bla bla bla, congratualing each other's company for bla bla bbla good work n so on...its riducuous...its a ring of fake wholesalers here and they just help each other out when someone complains...
i hope SM stops brokering from the source who sells fake garments and moves to selling actual surplus....and those RL 05 polos they had were fake, i know the source and i got the sample and they were fake, its funny as soon as 05 polo was realeased, the continuous supply of wholesale began...all they did was change 04 to 05, thats all they needed to do and add some other features to make it look authentic... -
and can i just add someone will prolly come on here and say i have an agenda bla bla bla...i dont have any agenda, im not a competitor i dont sell here nor online
im just TIRED Of seeing people being ripped of by buying fakes when they thinking they authentic...ITS DECEIPT.
PEACE -
yeah with surplus masters its pretty obvious as stuff shows up on their site about a week after i could get it from china. im wondering where the tag says those regiment cargo shorts are made for example. my guess is china, when theyre actually produced in maldives etc

Galactose,
Robert is overseas alot.
I can't imagine him coming back to see all of these BAD things on the forum.
This guy offers 100% Money Back Guarantee on ALL of his items.
He literally holds this community together.
I guarantee you this- what you are doing is ILLEGAL.
I know Robert....(I am one of the moderators for splitbuy.com).
I suggest that you get to know Robert...He's not some monster.
I bet you couldnt find ONE customer that Robert has OPEN issues with.
Have a talk with Robert.
You do not want him to come home to this.
I guarantee you he WILL have his lawyers contact you and drag you into court.
Real talk. What you are doing/writing is ILLEGAL.
Don't take my word for it....if you continue with this behavior, you will find yourself in a WORLD of LEGAL trouble.
I don't know if you want that? Maybe you do, I dont know...it certainly looks that way....
This guy has the MONEY to do ANYTHING he wants...
Notice that NOONE is is cosigning with you?
Anyway, I'm getting out of this business....
Listen, contact Robert...
Unless you have dealt with him, or unless you want to go to court (and can afford it)
STOP what youre doing...
Im not making threats here, I'm trying to be a friend...
There are so many things going on around this place (411)..
Don't get yourself into trouble guy...
Listen, contact Robert, he's a great guy..
Please, Galactose, contact Robert.
Im being a friend, please respond to this..
Please, you DO NOT want Robert to come home on Monday and see this...
The first thing he will do is have his LAWYERS contact you..
Do you have the money to fly back and forth to Philly for court?
Because that is where you will have to go if he files a LAWSUIT for SLANDER.
Please respond to this message (you don't have to if you don't want to)
I guarantee you that his LEGAL TEAM will make an EXAMPLE out of you.
And your claims of being a MOTHER THERESA and trying to protect all of the poor mothers and college students on ebay WILL NOT hold up in court.
It is ILLEGAL to make accusations without dealing with a company. PERIOD.
Here is a link of EVERY post you have made to date - http://community.wholesale411.com/searc ... 5&start=15 aka evidence..
Listen, I'm NOT trying to be an !@#$, im trying to be a FRIEND.
You do not want what youre asking for (by this I mean LEGAL problems), trust me..
Listen, I don't care if you post this on the forum, in fact, If you dont reply within the next few min, I will post myself...
Contact Robert...(at least let him see an email from you, before he reviews all of this !@#$).
Do the right thing now, or have a JUDGE make you do the right thing later... -
lol
its uhhh lible when written. slander is spoken. there are documented cases of this company selling less than authentic merchandise = claims may be or thought to be true. lible is impossible to prove because intent is impossible to prove. thats why you can read about the next coming of christ in newspapers any day of the week. im not going to WASTE any more TIME by CAPITALIZING all kinds of WORDS for EMPHASIS that dont really need to be CAPITALIZED in the FIRST place and going on forever blah blah blah.
anyway, i guess it doesnt really matter. by the way juan, can i buy some of those 200% authentic 7FAM jeans or are they all sold out? -
Josh,
How many would you like?
You dont scare me guy.
Since everyone wants to be a wise ***, we'll see what it is (slander, libel, or whatever).. -
1. I am speaking out for two people who have bought from brokers here and goods have been fake.
2. I am sure Paul Smith, RL, etc. will gladly pay my lawyer fees and i wouldnt mind bringing in some samples with me to defend my what i have said.
3. Why am i doing this? because i want wholesalers to be true with their products and not make 100% authenticity guarantee claims when the goods are obviously not.
4. I want the wholesale forum to be a clean network wholesale meeting place of HONEST people. I see the forum as an excellent resource for licensed wholesalers who would like to conduct their business online. I know one wholesaler who told me its no point posting on the forum as its filled with people who sells fakes and make failse claims. I am defending this wholesaler who conducts legitimate business, who buys goods in good faith and does not lie.
5. As i said earlier, someone will be come and defend, there is a ring of wholesalers who will defend each other.
6. Juan Royal, what about you? holding people's money and not contacting them? is that right too? isnt it like the pot calling the kettle black?
7. I have praised some wholesalers a while back such as Luxury Brands 24, who sell here and provide the EU with authentic merchandise. I am not against such wholesalers, I am defending two people who have been burnt and I am also defending myself from the sources who have lied to me. These sources actually sell to the "ring of wholesalers". -
I never said I was perfect,
But you have had an agenda for MONTHS..
Posting subtle messages and what not.
Listen, I posted what I needed to post, so you guys can take it from there...
Better go ahead and get RL on the phone and start talking to them about your legal fees...
I don't sell here, so it is what it is...
I'll speak with you guys a little later..need to run out really quickly... -
I dont have an agenda, i want changes...i want wholesalers to be true in their products, if they are fake, dont make claims of 100% authenticity, you can mislead people to buying.
-

Not sure if you were here but 2 people tried doing this last year....They failed, and now have there own forums.

That posting is also a GREAT read, so if you have a few minutes go through it.
Majority said no..but it doesn't matter. There is no way to force out the wholesalers that sell fakes because the sellers themselves don't know the difference unless its blatant. And who am I or you, or anyone on these forums to say whats fake and whats not?
A lot of the times also, they know they're selling fakes, yet keep doing it. Why? It's easy money and everyone's doing it. What's the chance of them getting caught?
People get misled. It's happened to all of us at one point or another. But what are you gonna do? Snitch on the wholesalers, like someone did a few months ago? These forums will be dead if that happened again, trust me. It's really a lost cause. I know u have good intentions Galactose, but trust me, it's a waste of time. People who buy fakes will not have a problem trying to sell them if they're not blatant. If they're blatant fakes then they'll complain. It's wierd how that works..
Use that search feature..Everything discussed here has already been discussed... -
i want SM to contact me for two people who have complained about their products 3 months ago and did not get anything from it, indeed the goods were not auth. and no im not going to snitch on SM, i actually applaud him to work with jewelry products and electronical items, but what im asking is for wholesalers such as AnnieB to review their website and take off 100% authenticity claims, or claims in their FAQs, thats all im asking for.
-
I don't know anything about Annie B, but I can tell you this..
If Robert takes down the 100% authenticity guarantee from his site,..What do the customers have to hold him to?
If he takes that guarantee down, that gives him a field day to sell ANYTHING, and it leaves the buyer no room to challenge..
Anyway, I just had a nice Sunday dinner, I suggest you guys do the same..
Enjoy life and confront ppl directly, instead of making subtle shots for months..
Hell, SM has a phone number on the site,...If it's that big of a deal for you...Call and confront the guy..
Don't make BS subtle posts.
Man up.
Later -
ok here is my advice to you...
answer the mail of people who are claiming their money
and dont send them bounced cheques...
that does really good for your reputation and your new business venture Royal Inc which specializes in consultancy, maybe you can advise your clients on how to keep customer's money and ignore them for months if it needs be ok?
now im gonna call it a day, ive said what i have said and ill take the issue with Robert regarding 2 people who were sold fakes and were not responded to adequately. -
Lactose,
Dude, mind your neck. Please.
I dont need advice from you.
You should really watch your little mouth. It has gotten you into enough.
And I dont sell here, so I dont have a thing to lose, and can say WHATEVER I want to whomever I choose.
Go away.
If you want to reply again. FINE,
I have nothing to do today.
Regards -
This isn't your forum Juan, why you telling people to go away?
Again, you think your god or something?
You are so unprofesional with your posts and your past history makes me laugh thinking about doing any business with you, and your posts mean nothing from your history. -
Dude,
I don't want this forum,
Stop e-stalking me..pls..
This forum isnt professional, so I act accordingly..
This is good entertainment...
Besides, I wasnt telling him to go away from the forum, ust away from me..
You know, the same way you need to stop e-stalking me... -
Juan,
Wow, so SurplusMaster's will "contact you in regards to this debt?" (reference is http://community.wholesale411.com/viewtopic.php?p=72293) Is this going to apply to refunding money from fake A&F stuff you sold to me from http://community.wholesale411.com/viewtopic.php?p=62000?
I'd really like to get back the $1074.28 I'm due from the fake A&F Kilburn Waffles I paid for on 1/18/05 and that you sold to others at http://community.wholesale411.com/viewtopic.php?p=69747. I returned these to you on 4/15 (http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?action=tr ... 7410003877 & 395717410003884).
On 4/7/05 you stated a refund was "absolutely not a problem." On 4/12/05 you stated payment via cashier's check and payment at 10+ days, which was fine. On 5/3/05 you initiated a payment of $630 via PayPal, not a cashier's check as you stated previously (and that I requested). Of course, that $630 was "temporarily held" from my account the next day and eventually reversed on 5/25/05 since you've had so many issues from that PayPal account. Therefore, my cash refund to date is $0. I shouldn’t have to wait 180 days for PayPal to release the funds in order to receive that part of the refund – that’s not what a real business tells a client due a refund for any amount.
I've tried to recover funds from you privately on the phone and via email since the return on the fake Kilburn Waffles on 4/19/05, but I'm getting nowhere with you. It's just a delay game in my eyes until I forget about it or get tired trying to recover the funds. Over the past month, you’ve repeatedly told me to wait another week here and there until you get some more buyers to purchase volumes of your products. But I’m guessing that hasn’t come through for you as I’ve been offered no refund lately. Don’t you think I’ve been more than patient enough in receiving the refund? On 6/12/05, you stated that weekly payments are agreeable but you didn't want to promise an amount right now. How can you agree to weekly payments but yet no amount?
So Robert, if you want to refund the money I'm due from Juan on this transaction I'll gladly take a cashier's check or wire transfer from you or some other arrangement - if Juan is going to be the “director" of splitbuy.com as he states at http://community.wholesale411.com/viewtopic.php?t=18973, I would think you would want outstanding issues to be resolved - especially the amount I'm owed. But maybe I'm wrong about this. -
You're definitely not wrong about this..
And I've contacted you via email regarding this..
I guess you didn't get the update email to all of my customers STILL due a refund.
Is it my fault that PayPal screwed up the payment I sent you and won't release my funds..
The one thing you guys all have in common, is that youve ALL received payments. PERIOD.
What do you want me to rob and steal to give refunds? I don't think so.
Ken, where did your balance start?
Somewhere around 1300.00 usd correct?
And where is it now? 362.00 usd??
Brett, I sent you a payPal payment of 600 dollars, did I not?
And, it's awfully funny that my goods are so FAKE, but you still wanted to accept 50 Ezra Fitch Cargo shorts, of which I sent out 10 because I could it afford it?
You guys have 2 choices
1) Wait for your refunds (not like I havent paid anything)
2) Would you rather me to file for bankruptcy.
Really funny how everyone waits for the oppurtunity to come out of the wood works when there's other trouble for the accused.
So, what's it going to be guys?
