Overstock is a reputable company. It's a good site, and they do deliver.

If you're talking about overstock auctions, thats something different though.

Be very careful with overstock as they can be very cheap on some products, but make their money from products where they overprice some things. Especially the higher priced items, thats where they make their profits. If you're going for cheaper products on overture, then you should be fine.

Overstock.com is not a bonified wholesale supplier source. They dropship the majority of their inventory from other distributors (including us!!!).

However, Overstock's Auction system might be a possible selling platform for your business (we havent looked closely at it).

    Good Luck

Yahoo! just started making their Online Auction FREE. That'll certainly put a dent in eBay's business: http://auctions.yahoo.com

Yahoo used to be free when it came out. People used to list items for as low as 50 cents. It was very crowded because people listed stuff for basically nothing. Yet, it still wasn't as popular as ebay, and it was a very dangerous place to do business. Ebay goes through a verification process that Yahoo did not. I remember watching an auction for 100 Playstation 2 systems for 100 one Christmas they were still selling for $200. Everyone that bought got ripped off and posted a negative. Not saying that it doesn't happen on ebay, but it's not as likely as yahoo.

After Yahoo started charging a fee, it died out. I didn't even realize they took the fee off.

Between the fact that Yahoo! now has no listing fees and has a feedback system now in place, we're sure it will sting eBay's overall volume.

The million-dollar question: how MUCH will it sting?

Biggest problem with E Bay and Overstock is that everyone goes there looking for a bargain and wont pay the price. I tried them and found it totally a waste of time.
