Does anyone know a legit seller of authentic LaCoste (just like sold at Macys, only cheaper) on eBay? I am looking for personal.

The only Lacoste polos I have seen on ebay that are exactly like the ones in department stores like Macy's, Nordstroms, etc. all have snipped tags to prevent store returns or have been worn. There was an ebayer that had authentic ones with tags but they were not cheaper than what you would normally pay. I have bought a few "authentic" Lacoste off ebay and now regret that I did. For the price you would pay to get two on ebay, you can get one that you are sure is authentic at a Lacoste boutique and be satisfied. Do whatever you please though; just giving you a warning :)

You won't find any other than an authorized LaCoste reseller/boutique. There are good fakes out there that can even fool people who should know.
The other responder is correct only shirts with the tags ripped are your only alternative.
Do you really think you can buy a hot item like these shirts for $13.00 delivered to your home? Well I did was fooled and got burned. Your better off selling grey market RL.

To speak to my original post, I was looking to buy a few for my self. I dont expect to pay $13 but I sure dont want to pay $64 at Macys. I am asking because there are a lot of conversations about LaCoste on this board. So I thought some of them could point me to a seller who sells legit.

I know that no one here is going to be authorized by LaCoste, becuause they wont even authorize some high end department stores, let alone Ebayers.

I do know that there are a lot of people buying in bulk here who claim to be getting legit. I just want to check out there auctions.

I have already been burned before I became aware of the fakes. I purchased a low quality fake on eBay.

i heard a lacoste lawyer who spoke to my friend say 95% of lacoste on the bay is fake

what pisses me off is that wen people who know they are fake and claim its authentic

many people on this forum do this

Price of an item does not indicate its authenticity or lack of authenticity. Many have been fooled into paying a lot for an item just to realize later that the product was fake. And many have paid little and been able to find the right product. The rules of economics of cheap labor/high profit dictate that a shirt cannot possibly cost more than $1-$2 in labor and material. Much more money goes into brand-making, high commissions, sales channels, etc. etc.

Authenticity must be defined by criteria other than price: Workmanship, tags, etc. Proper paperwork is important to some also. Price should not play into this since when you cut out a lot of middlemen, commissions, advertising, ... you will end up with something very inexpensive. Not cheap but inexpensive.

Can we stay on topic? Here is a guy who has been here for over a year. He contributes with thoughtful posts, (and stays in the appropriate area when he lets it rip). All he asked is if he could find a place to buy some shirts for personal use. Instead he gets the same old authentic argument.

Maybe someone who sells what he is looking for could private message him with a name of one of your customers who would be willing to sell.

But let's stay on topic. If you can't answer his question, leave it alone.

    - Ben, if you go to a Lacoste outlet store the polos go fo $35.00 to $42.00 compared to Macy's $65.00. I was truly amazed at the deals they offer. At least where I go that's what they offer.

Since you were not referring buying Lacoste in bulk I have no further comment. For personal use go to the outlet stores.

^but what about buying in bulk? not sure if he is looking for wholesale, but im sure there are others that would be interested in knowing sellers who offer authentic as opposed to fake, myself included. Thanks

I went to the Lacoste web site. Here are the locations. Hopefully the link will open up.
