Hi all. I was searching around and found this great site. It seems to list tons of flea markets so I thought some of you would enjoy seeing if there are any new ones you haven't been to. Anyway, here is the link:
http://antiques2.iantiquesguide.com/sta ... 0152203343
Hope it helps all of you out. -
Great find, someone did their homework, many of the best shows in Wisconsin literally ARE NOT listed anywhere, not even at the Chamber of Commerce! My best shows have all been by invitation only.
Thanx -
Hello folks!
I looked at the website NeoNiko had recommended. It does list quite a few flea markets, but I've also noticed that a lot of them do not even exist anymore, at least not in the New York area. This website had not been updated since March 17, 2004!
There is another website I have found, maybe this will help you.
http://www.fleamarketguide.com
Good luck! -
The most up-to-date and accurate information about Flea Markets is edited by mod - They have the Flea Markets own websites
linked so their information is current. Also, there is a bunch of information available, that is why it is call The Flea Market Information Center. I know, because it is my website.
Jerry Stokes.
PS: Check it out and Optin for a new website under construction, a Flea Market Club. -
I was surprised to find that edited by mod does not list the Norht Carolina flea market at the state fairgrounds in Raleigh...it is the biggest flea market in the area.

-
WIGIWOOD...Are you a Vendor at the NC Flea Market at the state fairgounds in Raleigh? I am in Charlotte.
The reason they are not listed is, there is a subscription fee and I have contact them and they choice not to subscribe for my services.
IF you are a vendor there and would like to have a website, I will give you one if you will help me get 3 other vendors to build a website.
The Annual Fee for website name and hosting is $95.
and a one-time price of $195 to Design and Build the webstie.
No monthly payments.
A website with a shopping cart is $27.40 monthly and $395 to design.
If you get me three (3) vendor that buy a website, I will give you your website free and place all on edited by mod-
Also, if you get me five vendors, not only does that give you a website free, but I will put the NC Flea Market on edited by modFree for one year.
You can call me at edited by mod-
This goes for all Flea Markets Vendors.
I am also building edited by modthat will be online this month and you get a password if you are a vendor with a booth at a Flea Market.
You can also sign in at edited by mod
Have a great day!

I have to agree with Jerry that his site is the best on the Internet concerning Flea Markets. What I have heard, this is the one site where you can go to have a forum to talk to other Vendors, find Wholesalers, get setup with Credit Card Services, Health Benefits, and sounds like much more to come. He told me he is busy working on getting more Flea Markets on board and will have hundreds involved in the near future. Great Job Jerry, you can count me in as a regular guest there on your site. I know I will be able to go there to find everything I need as a vendor or a shopper at the Flea Markets around the country.

??? I tend to disagree from a vendors standpoint, the purpose of a list is to have all flee markets listed. Many of the best shows I have ever done were not listed in any book, also something of note, many shows that have outdated listings still exist but may have different contact information, different dates, location, etc and are still usefull to have as a reference.
Credit card services, health benefits, etc may work in a larger population base and are nice ideas but most folks where I live that do flee markets can't afford health insurance and can't use credit cards reliably as the cellular access is limited and a good 5-10% of cards seem to be cancelled, maxed out or stolen at fairs and flee markets up here, I have had a VERY high rate of bad cards at flee markets up here, it seems people think I can't verify them.
Better still is how angry they are when I tell them their card is bad/cancelled.
However, A vendor forum is always a good idea but you need to live in areas where there are enough people to comment on the show (many up here still don't get online much).
I might have to break down one day and setup one of those free bravenet forums on the issue.
Cheers

Ryan, You have a point. Your point is that many people in the Flea Markets don't have a lot of money. The 5 to 10% is about the national average of people who use a stolen card or maxed out one. So this happens anywhere. As far as your coverage goes on your cell. It's getting better every day. Sprint and Nextel just merged, Cingluar and AT & T did as well. This makes the coverage better. FleaMarkets.com is better than nothing at all. It is not designed to be the cure all for Fleamarkets around the country. Im amazed at the Flea Market Vendors who say they aren't making any money. The economy is terrible, etc etc. Why is it then one vendor does well and another one right down the row is not selling a thing. Yes, foot traffic does need to be there, but there is more to it. A smart Vendor uses websites and other things to create business. The difference with the ones who aren't making money is that they are using business principles that were used years ago. And are just doing it to make a little money. But there are some who are making quite a bit. FleaMarkets.com is on the right track. To let others know that a website is there for them, if they ever see the light. Tell them to buy a computer for the ones who dont know about it and move into 21th century.

I agree, good post Ryan.rmay635703 wrote:??? I tend to disagree from a vendors standpoint, the purpose of a list is to have all flee markets listed. A Flea Market site should have listings of ALL the flea markets. Not charge vendors and flea markets up the wazzoo just to be listed.
Fleamarkets.com does not have very many, and it's difficult to navigate do to the design.
I find something like: http://antiques2.iantiquesguide.com/sta ... 0152203343 much more appealing from a design and navigation standpoint. But they don't have as much information about each flea market as http://www.fleamarketguide.com/. And http://www.fleamarketguide.com/ has a lot more flea markets listed, Which is nice.
But now you have this thread, where you can find all the flea markets you want!

You can get the "Official" Flea Market Guide and also some other useful wholesale buyers' information here -

From some of the Vendors comments about websites that provide information about locations of flea markets they should be FREE.
My question to the Vendors, do you give your merchandise away free?
The website that provide services to shoppers and vendors have overhead just like vendors and any other business.
Most of the websites and printed directories to locate flea markets have outdated information.
The only website on the Internet that provides the latest information about a flea market with email address to the market, is edited by mod.
Flea Market owners provide a service to vendors but the vendors pays for the service, why should a Flea Market get advertising of their location without paying for it.
Also, there IS a FREE service for vendors on edited by mod-
If a vendor has a booth at a flea market and a website, their website can be linked free and the link to the market where they have a booth.

Jerry, it looks like the others are here sharing information, but you are here promoting your websites.
Maybe you should move to the paid advertising section, rather than try and drive traffic for free. After all, since the flea markets should expect to pay, shouldn't you? -
I do pay to be number one on google and other search engines.
This benefits the Shoppers, Vendors and Flea Markets.
Also, ALL the other directories and guides to flea markets charge.
None of them provide links to websites and none of them offer
vendors a free link of their website.
But to tell you the truth,
I have learned from you vendors an important lesson.
I am going to redesign my homepage.
I tried to design my homepage to help Shoppers as well as Vendors.
I send 7 hours, 7 days each week, answering email and phone calls from shoppers asking about many things. I answer them within an hour and most all reply with, thank you for your speedy reply.
I have build websites free or without a profit for vendors.
I am 82 years old, founded the National Flea Market Association and tried to organize a Flea Market Vendors Association, but I could not find any Vendors that was willing to pay an annual membership fee of $25.
My websites, and I have over 150, are mostly a free service to vendors and shoppers.
There are over 500,000 Flea Market Vendors and I admire each and every one of them for their dedication, and contribution to the local and national economy.
I am helping to open a flea market in Charlotte, North Carolina, and they need vendors. Their website I did free, is edited by mod
If each vendor that is reading this discussion will enclude their website in any reply to this, I will link it to edited by modFREE.
Check out edited by mod
If you do not have a website and want one, I will do one for you for $95.

But Jerry - you're still trying to sell $ 95 websites without paying OUR FEE. You don't mind selling your stuff, but don't want to pay to advertise it here. If you can charge for your listings, why can't we charge for ours? Without you trying to beat the system? -
I am considering the same thing too....to start a small business by selling at flea market or online...i am currently doing a little bit on ebay....but i want to know where to get a lot of stuff to buy from....i know this site they sell some solar stuff....RETAILFLOW.COM .. which is not bad! But it is not enough i want to have more resources...please if anybody can refer us a good site! Thank yoU!!!
