Hi- I came across a supplier with quite a lot of different AF offers. But I'm not sure if these apparel are authentic...

Can you help me out, what's your impression?

    Thanks,
    Ben

I may not be the expert on mens clothing but I have comments about the tags. The tag on the Grey hoodie XL is wrong. AF never uses tags like that. Looks totally fake.

Also the tag on tiger graphic shirt is using a circle plastic tag. AF also NEVER uses those.

If we are talking about that big blue tag I, too, saw such tags (Ok, very similar ones) on some mens hoodies in an A&F store.
I have never seen the circle plastic strings on Abercrombie before, but then again I never saw an A&F item made in Peru either, probably overlooked somehow... I am wondering could it be that one particular factory starts to use something other factories don't use, the circle strings for example. So called Globalization makes nearly impossible to know everything being produced around the World, for different markets etc... <sigh>

They do use the circle tags on outerwear.

Hermes, I'm talking about the price tag on the grey hoodie where it shows a closeup of the size "XL" . That paper tag is printed on glossy paper and it's also way too short to be an AF price tag. Looks extremely fishy. Also i"ve never seen circle tags used on anything except possibly belts (cant remember exactly which tags were used for those), but not even on outerwear.

I have circle tags on my Hollister and Abercrombie coats bought from the store. But I do agree that the tag of that sweater is extremely fake, the shirt just doesn't look like something abercrombie would make as well.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Prices would have been to good to be true too. It seems to be a very hard job to get real grey market stuff.

I can't speak to the tags, I never studied those. But the blue jeans and khaki cargo pants just look so cheap even in those pictures. Cheap, thin material. They look like generic pants found at a discount department store

Im going to have to take back what I said about the tags, I went to Abercrombie today and bought a tee shirt that had almost identical tags to the one on that sweatshirt. Right when I saw it, I thought of that picture, it has the center tag, different font than normal, the muscle on top and the size tag off to the right. This shows how much we know. :)

    Joe,

The rationale that people here use to determine authenticity is very appalling to say the least.

The fact that an item is cheap does not mean it is not authentic.

Factories have overruns, damages, and liquidations quite frequently,

Also, once the $10.30 USD/kg international shipping costs, and duties are factored in...the price is not dirt cheap anymore.

Thinking about contacting A&F to verify authenticity??

Guess again....If you didnt buy directly from them, they'll tell you it's not authentic regardless

I really wish people would stop associating price with authenticity.

These brands are making huge profits on apparel.

Why do you think they're manufactured in China, Peru, etc in the first place?

I cant comprehend wanting to pay premium prices for inexpensive goods.

If anyone wants really cheap items at a really marked up price, please contact me. I will be more than happy to assist.

    Thanks
