I order a lot of jeans thru I offer. The guy said he would ship them express mail to me for $70.00. Deal Made. I ordered on the 17th and now it's the 23rd. If he had express mailed it to me, it would be here. I have questioned him, but he just say yes, mailed on the 17th and gives me the confirmation number. When I look on USPS to track the package I receive the message...blah.blah USPS notified by electronic mail to expect package on Dec 17th, blah, blah. I am wondering if I should give it a week or so, or try to get my money back thru paypal? I know I should not wait longer than a month to file a complaint.

Priority Mail doesn't cost the same as Express.

You can call 800-222-1811 and check your confirmation #. They may have more information.

Push 0 a couple times, even if the menu says something else. It will then say "Stay on the line for assistance." Then you can talk to a person.

If you have paid for Express, and he notified them about the shipment, supposedly printed a Shipping label, then where Priority Mail came from? You should be refunded the difference in shipping costs. And he has to have at least Delivery Confirmation Number, nobody sends a lot of jeans with no tracking/confirmation at all.
IMO, it is a red flag here. I would not wait too long before filing a complaint, especially if you did not use a CC.
    Good luck,

Based on your post (I have not gone to that web site to check it), this is totally unacceptable. First, your seller lied about the shipping method, and then it is taking an unreasonable amount of time for delivery using the slower method.

The user who said that the USPS is slow is B.S. I use them all the time, holiday and non-holiday and they always are prompt in delivery. So much so that I guaranteed everyone a X-Mas delivery as the risk of being wrong is close to zero.

I have been tracking all my packages, and they all are being delivered promptly.

I would demand a full reimbursement on the S/H charge or I would send them back at the owners expense siting they arrived too late. If the seller doesn't agree, I would neg this piece of !@#$ seller.

I shipped 3 packages Priority on December 20th. One each to PA, GA and NY. The one to PA arrived on the 22nd, but the ones to GA and NY have not shown up yet. The one to PA was an order, the ones to GA and NY were gifts. I forgot to put conformation on the gifts, but I am 100% sure those people are not telling me that they have not arrived and they actually have. I don't think the USPS is running "that" behind though, maybe a day or two. The guy at the post office did tell me all three packages should arrive by Christmas Eve, because it was running a little slow. So, I had warning that it could be a day or so beyond the 2-3 day priority estimate.

I'd give this guy until after the holiday (like the 26th) and if your order had not shown up by then, nag the !@#$ out of him. If he said he sent it Priority on the 17th, you should have had it by the 22nd-23rd even giving them a day or so for being behind.

Always be a little patient with delivery times as often it is out of the suppliers hands...

Dont leave it to long without questioning, and also always be cautious with the time scale allowed to make a chargeback if the goods dont turn up..

But dont be to eager with this either as people wont trade with you if your a know "chrgeback" waiting to happen :)

Let us know how it goes

    Cheers

The "tracking" number you got is a Delivery Confirmation Number for Priority Mail.
He printed your label on 12/17. The label is valid for 48 hours which means he might have shipped the jeans on Saturday, 12/18. Normally, you should have received them already, but given all the Holiday rush it is possible they are on the way somewhere.

However, the price you have paid for shipping is what Express Mail costs. Priority for 30 pounds would be about $30.
It is true that Express was not mentioned, but you asked for Overnight delivery which means exactly that, Express mail, and you were promised quote:"you will be paying actual shipping".
It's a very cheap trick, and I don't like it.

How did you pay? Did you use a CC through PayPal, or your Bank account?

I would request a refund for the difference in shipping costs.
If the jeans don't arrive until say Tuesday I would file a chargeback.

    Good luck,

    Julia

I paid thru paypal with my bank account debit card. Will it be easy to get a charge back.

I also was contacted by a lady thru ebay who has also ordered from the same person thru IOffer. She ordered 10 pairs of jeans for $270 and only received one pair of size 10 jeans. She asked me if I had received my order yet, which I still haven't. This guy is very sketchy!!!

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper or shipping partner on December 17, 2004 to expect your package for mailing.

This label was only printed. Never mailed. It should read:

    Here is what happened earlier:

    * ACCEPTANCE, December 17, 2004, 0:00 pm, LOS ANGELES, CA 90005

    Has not been sent.

If I don't receive my shipment by Tuesday, December 28, 2004, I will be doing a chargeback on paypal for a refund of my money and reporting you to I Offer for fraud and to the wholesale forums so nobody will buy from you . I was contacted by another buyer that said she purchased 10 pair of jeans from you and only received one pair of size 10 jeans for $270.00. She will probably be reporting you also. I would recommend you find out where my package is and find out when I will receive it, and I better have 30 pairs of jeans. Charlene

I ask you to wait until end of this month.

That lady, i maybe mistakenly sent another package to her and sent 10 pairs to someone else.

I sent her mail that i would give her refund as soon as find out where I mailed that 10 pants out

but.. as i said.. im not the guy who does not send stuff out.

you have your tracking number and I can prove that i sent it.

this issue has nothing to do with the lady who got one pants instead of 10.

i mailed all my buyer if they received 10 pair by accident. im waiting for their email.

I can give you a refund for overage shiping cost. but. goods is on the way to your place.

    as I shipped it priority.

Im not fraud. Im not liar.

I understand you getting mad about late mailing. but I am also mad to this post office for being dalayed.. this time of period is not good for shipping .. holiday seasons always delays.

but I promise I am not fraud. I sent out your pants. it is on the way.

Please understand my situation as well.

give me your track number one more time , I'll go check it with post office after christmas day

Im really sorry again. but I ask you not to do any report yet just becuz the mail is being delayed..

    happy holidays..

    Still waiting :x

    1. It remains unclear if the jeans were sent or not. ArtBroker is right, there should be an acceptance note, but from my experience these sometimes are posted really late if at all.
    2. I don't get why the seller asks YOU about your "track number" - a Delivery Confirmation Number that is. He must've had it since he printed the label. Ok, probably he is just too lazy to look.
    3. The only proof of shipping he MIGHT have (besides of a confirmation the shipment was delivered which it was not yet) is a receipt from the Post Office. Ask him if he has one, and which date is there in it.
BTW, the Delivery Confirmation Number should be listed in this receipt, as well.

I paid thru paypal with my bank account debit card. Will it be easy to get a charge back.

Well, it depends. PayPal does not do chargebacks. When you file a complaint PayPal will try to recover your money, but it is not guaranteed. PayPal also covers you for up to $500 IF a transaction is eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection. It looks unlikely that yours is, but it's worth to check.

You may want to do a search on this Forum, there have been a lot of threads about PayPal policies. Or better yet go to the PayPal website and read the User Agreement and everything you can find in their Help Center about PayPal Buyer Protection and Buyer Complaint Process. Click on the Resolution Center from you PayPal Account page, and read their info, as well.

    Good luck,

Sorry, I forgot to add: if a seller had sent you one pair of jeans instead of 20, or just an empty box, you are out of luck with PayPal Buyer Complaint process. That's why it is recommended to use a CC.

If I pay with a credit card my purchases are insured. I did pay with a bank debit/credit card visa, is this the same? Do I receive the same protection if I purchase using my credit card thru Paypal?

You are protected with CC or bank debit card.

The bank will have you fill out paperwork or Error Resolution Forms if you state that there was fraud involved.

They will credit your account back and investigate the incident and make a determination based upon the findings. If they find fraud was involved, you keep your money.

If they find no fraud, they take back the credit.

    Hope this helps.

I am really glad to hear it! Your seller was just unproficient but not a liar.
Remember about paying with a CC in the future, just to be on the safe side. Chargeback with a CC Company is a relatively easy thing to do.

Thank you Rokko for your great input. I heard that a transaction made with a bank account can be disputed, but I never knew how.
