    Hopefully someone can help me out here.

    I used to work with a few others selling electronics but have since moved on and decided to open my own company.

    I submitted my application for my Sales Tax Permit, and received it today.

    Problem is, the number looks extremely different than the one I used to use with wholesalers.

    The old number looked like this:

    XX-XXXXXXX

    The number on this form looks like this:

    XXX-XXXXXXXXX

    Is this not my TAX ID Number?

    Here is the form I filled out:

    my federal or EIN looks like this xx-xxxxxxx

    Yeah my mistake. Forgot I had to fill out the SS-4 to get that number.

    It's been a long time since I filled that form out... :oops:
