I have paid for several so called wholesale lists, only to find they are just a middle man marking up the price from the true wholesaler. How do I get in touch with the main distributor?

Don't buy those kind of lists anymore, because most of them is just garbage.

Go to google, and browse. Find a company or some wholesaler with a contact number. There are some websites which show Trading Company around the world. Then probably you could find the one what you want.

But be extra careful, scammers is working out there.

    Good Luck.

If you know what you are looking for, you can always contact the manufacturer to get a list of distributors. This way you know for a fact it is a legitimate distributor and not another middleman.

Hard to know what is middleman anymore. For instance, you can buy clothing from about the fourth or fifth person in the line. Need to be near factory to get true distribution I believe.

    finding a supplier is easy.

my question is how do you SELL it once you have all this great low-priced stuff. e-bay is overflowing with sellers and very few end-users are buying.

For small guys like us, what or who else can we sell to? are there any good on-line stores or retailers who will buy from us?

Some of these big auction sites charge too much, in my opinion, for advertising on their sites and I believe you can find many free classifieds sites that charge less or not at all. Ofcourse, many of these free sites have either little traffic or poor service. However, there are two sites that I know of that have good traffic and provide free service, http://www.craigslist.org and http://www.buysellcommunity.com. They're both good ad sites, but the former has more traffic but has too many spam ads. The latter is a cleaner site with fewer spam ads. In any case, sellers have nothing to lose by posting their ads. This said, however, I still believe too many people are apprehensive when it comes to online shopping. The vast majority of people prefer to shop the old fashion way, but I think this could change if the government enforce and monitor online shopping and money transfers more vigorously.

You are not buying the good lists. Htey don;t sell them on ebay. No list is 100% great. You still have a lot of due diligence to do. But there are some very good legit ones out there that are geared toward the small, starting seller.

Good luck. It takes time, work and even money to find good wholesalers. I owe about 50% of my findings to good wholesale directories. But finding them is as hard as finding the wholesalers.

When you find a real wholesale price, you still don't believe it's a real wholesale price anyway. Find product that you think less competitor in your area and gonna hot sell. Also, find a good way to sell them.

Go to the library where you can look at "lists/books" and then go over to the Thomas Register and look up the manufacturer.
