Need to see if this is allowed.....

I have a couple of bids on a product. The high bidder emails me asking me what I want for the product as they need it asap and want me to end the auction early. I guess I could put a buy it now option on it so they can purchase right away. (I assume it will let me do thatafter I have bids). Is this ok to do???

And you believe this guy? eBay frowns on this, it is fee avoidance.

    Here are eBay's instructions.

    http://pages.ebay.com/services/buyandse ... ction.html

    Ending Your Auction
You can use this form if you want to end your auction early. But remember, lots of bidders wait until the very last minute to bid—they're trying to avoid being outbid!—so you may lose a potential buyer by ending your auction early.

If you are ending the auction because you no longer wish to sell your item, you must cancel all bids on your auction before it ends. If you do not do so, you are obligated to sell to the high bidder.

No dont really believe him, I really didnt want to end early anyways. Just thought if he was willing to pay what I want, then I might do it then. I wasnt thinking all the way anyways, cause now I realize that it would be avoiding ebay fees. Even though ebay gets more than their fair share, dont wanna !@#$ them off too much.

    Thanks

when you end an auction early the form gives you 2 options:

    1) cancel all bids and end auction early.

    2) sell to highest bidder and end auction early.

Option 2 you still pay the fees, ebay allows this.
