Your web site took about 20 seconds to open up on a T1 line (although we could have had a lot of traffic at that time too).
But even more than that - your web site doesn't do anything. It is just one page - from what I can see. Are you doing any advertising? Per click advertising? Does all of your packages go out with your web site address on them?
A lot can be done. Check out a web site we finished a while ago:

#1 get that !@#$ music off your site..i dont know any who likes to listen to music while they are shopping let alone listen to whatever you have on there...

i know you said it goes live nov 1 but if thats the main page you need to revamp it a bit....
i want to see contact information
an about our company webpage so we know who you are
i want to see links to the different products you have to offer..

shirts
shoes
etc etc etc
shrink down those pictures you currently have on there and add some more of the products you sell..
and no...
if you build it they wont come!
it takes a very long time to get in the search engines...
your best bet would be to advertise anywhere/anyhow you can and refer people back to your website..
but then again..im just an amatuer so you can pay me no never mind! -
sign and pay for google ad... you will get more traffic to your site. but before that you might want to listen to the aboves advice and fix update your site.

I finally found other New Yorkers! I think you need more on the "About Us" page. How and why you got into this business, why you're so passionate about the stuff you sell. Tell us who you are.
I'm not sure if I noticed correctly, but even on the English side is the money in US or Euro dollars?
Get reciprocal links in the fashion or hip hop industries. Get the word out why people should buy from you. Reciprocal links will drive you up in the search engines. It does take a long time. So you need to be patient, You might have to spend more money in advertsing than you're getting in income for a while. It may take up to 2 years to start to generate money from internet sales. It takes awhile even after submitting to the search engines. I believe someone already said it. But any type of correspondence should have you website attached to it.
Also everybody you talk to should know about your site!! Hand out business cards with your website address on them!
The links for the language should be a little larger

before you do anything of the things thats already said, you must make an meta tag!! If not nobody will find you site! When you have done this you can start promoting it!

As for adding MetaTags you are right there!!! I almost forgot about that. Good catch sKRud!
I believe without metatags they will only find you, if they know your exact URL.

Not exactly. But the search engine prefer to listed the site with meta tag first. Because the rule is meta tag have higher weight than contents, <h1>, word. After search engine list the site with meta, than your site properly list in few hundreds position.

Getting traffic from the search engines is going to be an uphill battle for you.
In the first place your site name "thenewyorklink" tells nothing about the content of the site and nobody that hasn't already heard of your shop will search for the new york link.
Your splash page (although it looks nice) has no content to index.
The keywords that you have chosen for the meta tag are highly sought search keywords but they also very competitive and it won't be easy to place high in the SERPs with all the other established sites that use these keywords. Maybe you should narrow the field a little by selecting less competitive keyword/keyword phrases. -
Have not done this in a while but I used to make a what I would call a portal page and sign up with 3 to 4 banner swap programs and put them all on a nice page with link(s) to your main page in english or what ever language you choose. Juts make the Page look really nice and they will not complain.
Banner Exchange programs can help drive traffic by 1000% for a new site. Almost forgot make a nice Banner. -
