I have a question to ask. Has anyone found a true wholesaler which would drop ship merchandise for them. I really am interested in the business and would love to get started, but I want answers from people who have had good experience with wholesalers. I signed up with a company and all I can say is trying to reach them is like pulling teeth, and the when every I find merchandise I would like to put on Ebay - they do not have it. This despite the claim they have a warehouse full of top brand name merchandise below wholesale.

I know this is probably a bit late for a reply, but I just found this post via google.

I found that in order to sell on eBay, you need to find a product that you can get good markup on, then see if it is selling. If it is, can you beat the regular prices that the product goes for on eBay? If you can, then sell it. If you can't, find a new product.

I went and signed up with a drop ship company. I figured I could make a killing on eBay selling stuff. Guess what. I can buy most of the products (the EXACT product) that the drop ship company has for CHEAPER if I do a search on the web and pay retail.

P.S. If you want a list of good drop shippers, you can try the link below.

We do not allow links to sites that sell lists such as the Drop Ship Source Directory.

Wholesale and drop shipping do work together!

My site contains links to small business owners that manufacture and drop ship their products to your customers.

    Categories include:

Jewelry,Inflatible Furniture,Crystal Figurines,Soaps and Lotions,Fine Art and Prints, and more! WHOLESALE! (small orders)

    http://www.dropshippingamerica.com

Our site also contains links to wholesalers that sell in bulk DVD's etc. Good LUCK!!! Warehouses also drop ship!!! Check out the radar detectors. (small orders)

Drop Shipping is great because you don't have to buy in bulk or shell out a ton of cash. Many wholesale drop shippers deal in smaller orders.

You just need to find stuff that's priced right to sell!!!

:) Here is a dropshipper I started with a couple of months ago. There are a lot of products that you can find from other dropshippers, but also some exclusives from them. Like the LaneChanger Blind Spot Mirrors (rear view) - 360 degree view around your vehicle. I displayed the models at a trade show recently and the reponse was incredible. Sold some there and also at Yahoo! Auctions.

(I prefer Yahoo! Auctions to Ebay) Join Free to see true wholesale prices. No obligations. It's working great for me and I've looked at hundreds of business opptys over the years. I am also building the residual income part of the business.

Check it out completely at: http://specials4u.freestoreclub.com
You can use the Free online store with credit card processing included, or not.

"drop ship wholesalers". What a contradiction in terms. Either you are a wholesaler or you are a dropshipper, not both.

Good one digital Im sure your comment to this member helped them alot.
But let me give the meber some advice which ever way you are going to make money because if you are not why stay in business and waste time asking questions so Im guessing you are doing ok. I put it like this dropshipping is not the best way to go but if you sell 20 items a day on your pure profit is $5.00 for each item that is $100.00 X 7 days a week $700.00 a week X 4 weeks that is $2800.00 of pure profit and you didnt have to do much but just sell dont sound so bad but if you had the merchandise up front you would make more and that is a proven fact ask any one and I will be the first to tell you that is a fact and sometimes us business people dont have the money to put up front for merchandise which is ok because as long as you making your profit you are a sucessfull person.

Thanks for the open-minded response, Hustler. I'm glad someone is.

And I am making a profit. I've been doing the internet thing and looking for ways to make money since AOL and Compuserve were the only ISP's. There isn't much I can learn from Digital, I'm sure. I have also built my own web sites, and some for others.

Many wholesalers need a large quantity of product purchased up front. I've done that and still have product sitting in my garage.

Dropshipping (from a Wholesaler) is a viable option, especially with unique items, like I have. :)

Not all 'dropshippers' are great, I agree. I've dealt with several and hadn't made much money, either. My LaneChanger mirrors give me actually great profit, per sale.

I'm also advertising an actual business oppty which is beginning to make me money. I don't have to sell it, it sells itself. The people involved in this are intelligent, educated people who saw what I did. And I'm not a rookie to web sites, product selling, etc. (I've actually emailed and talked with some folks who joined this business. Some are software engineers, and other internet-educated people.)

So, not to be defensive, check it out for yourself, Digital...

P.S. I can add my own products to my store, like VS lingerie...
