if i buy versace cloth on ebay. will it be fake?

nobody can say if its authentic or not, without to know the sellers name and the item you want.
-

No. It may be full of positives from people who are unaware they have been taken in by fakes. -
so, what can i do. there is a seller who sells dolatella versace's collection and i really like it .

does your seller offer a money back guarantee? If yes, buy it and take it to a Versace store or a retail store which offer versace clothing.
Ask the seller if the item is really authentic. If he confirmed the authenticity buy. If you don`t get an answer, write 2 days later, no answer again, don`t buy. -
Feye,
I do not know how it is in Germany, but here if you take a fake item to a retail store it will be confiscated with no money back, of course.
Another possible outcome is that the fake will be told as authentic, because managers and clerks do not know much about what they are selling, and care even less.
So I would say: No, don't take the item to a store. Yes, ask the seller bold questions, and then decide for yourself.

No, in Germany they can`t take your fake and confiscate it. I think they will be very friendly to you, cause the want to know the seller. Of course, some brands don`t care about it. If the clerks don`t know their own goods, visit a mainstore, which only sell this brand (I don`t know the engl. word for it) and show them the item (but only, if you get sure, that they don`t take your item). I made good experiences with this method. -
let member help me to take look this seller:

this seller only sells versace and it's donatella's disgn. also, the proce is not cheap. i hope some one can help me to take look this. thanks -
all from the latest Versace Collections
Now, do you think that the latest collections from Versace would be replicated and sold so quickly from the catwork to the public?
This seller has an incredible range of styles that would definately suggest to me that he is the real deal. -
LOL, i dont know where your people all live, but if i walk into a store here and ask somebody that works at that store whether or not something is real or fake, not only would they laugh at me or ignore me for wasting there time, but do you really think that these employees who are making $6 or $7 bucks an hour really know or even care if the item you are holding is fake or aucthentic!
Come on! -
I apppreciate what trendybuys is saying I also think that if you suggest to shop employees that an item is fake they might well tell you it is fake in the hopre that you'll buy the real deal from them.
I also don't know of any shops that train their employees to spot fakes. -
specialist boutique stores pay there staff pretty well i'm told, but you're right when they anre't exactly trained in spotting authenticity, besides the usual tags etc.
but i reckon if u went about it the right way, you could get them to help you compare the quality with authentic stock.. saying something like "i bought this from an internet boutique, and i think this mite be fake, i was wondering if you could help me." , as they'd also want to determine if a place was selling fakes for the company's interest..
if you go about it the right way, and the place aint too busy, shouldnt be too hard to get some help.. -
Folks, you keep forgetting that a customer risks to lose his item and money by doing so. That's why people do not take their Luis Vuitton replicas to authenticate. They prefer a fake LV to no LV at all (not me! I don't even like his bags!) In no case you would get some "proof", written or not, whether the item is fake or authentic.
I would never ever trust an opinion of some store clerk/manager/whoever. Companies guard the info on "fakes vs authentics" even from their employees. When I check stores - boutiques or Department stores, all the same - it's usually ME who ends up sharing info about styles etc. with THEM. See Trendybuys' post.
OTOH, in the most cases it is enough just to go to the store, and look closely at the items in question yourselves. Frankly, if I happen to encounter such a good fake that I can't spot any difference from an authentic item I would simply say "so be it."
As for the case of the original poster I agree with Zhenjie, the seller and his items look Ok.

I agree, I would not trust the opinion of a general store employee and would doubt that even a store manager would be a good source regarding authenticity. IMHO, do your homework and decide for yourself, when in doubt, error on the side of caution.
