Anyone use 1 day auctions? I always avoided short term auctions and went for 5 or 7 day to get more exposure but I recently did a few 1 day auctions and was pleasantly surprised at the results. I got less bids per item, usally just 1 bid per item but I had a lot more items with closed bids. I usually do about 80-100 auctions a week. I usally start them all on the same day but this week I listed 15 auctions per day using 1 day auctions, I had closed bids on about 8-9 auctions each day.

    interesting response.
I think people love instant gratification so when they see it ends the same day - they are more likely to bid...just my thought

Do you also offer - "Buy it now" in your auctions?

i do 1 day auctions for my headlight bulbs i sell, the reason is you can only list 25 auctions at any given time, it's the ebay rule for automotive lights. i get much better results with 1 day since everyone that lists headlight bulbs does 1 days, keeps you at the top of the page when someone searches by their car.

I use one day auctions at times, I always include BIN as an option for those with loads of dosh that don't want to wait around.

As the busy period approaches 1 day auctions will get used more than ever.

I also tried it, and the prices were good. But I would only do it, when you have a lot of stuff from the same item e.g. 1000 Polo Shirts.

Gee, you know I have never looked at it that way, its hard to believe because thats exactly what I do when I buy on Ebay, I just look for the auctions that are ending the soonest , even if there may be another item starting at 99 cents that ends in 5 days

I only use 1-day auctions when I have too much inventory on hand and need to move them quick. They are generally good if you set the right min price.

I sitll prefer 5-7day auctions with starting $1 bids and nr

I also think that the timing of the auction (when it is ending) is important. I would like my auction to end around 7-9pm when most people are at home maybe surfing the internet looking for stuff.

I ussually got for 5-7 days auction, to get more exposure because eventually your auction will be on the first page and if its ending in evening you will get much more exposure.

    Guys, think about this:

Say you're selling 300 item A for a month, and all your listings close with a purchase:

    A) You list 10 items every day (7 days- auction)
It takes 37 days to sell them all.

    B) You list 10 items every day (1 day auction)
It takes 31 days to sell them all.

NO MATTER HOW MANY ITEMS YOUR ARE MOVING, 7 DAYS AUCTION ONLY TAKES 6 MORE DAYS TO FINISH.

I love one day auctions, but I only use them when I have alot of the same inventory. I personally prefer 3 day auctions with an ending time of 6-10pm eastern time
