I am new in surplus/closeout industry. I need some help. I bought a closeout apparel lot from ebay recently. The seller stated the lot is brand new with tags. When I received the lot, they have tags but there are also a small sticker attached to the tags saying M**Y Dept "requried for return". So I complained to the seller that the clothes are return and not brand new. The seller emailed me and said "let me educate you, the reason why the Dept Store put "return label" is to prevent people who buy closeouts from going back to the Store to collect a full MFSR price refund." So the 'return label' doesn't mean return and it means 'prevent return'?? I am so confused.
Does anyone who knows about apparel closeouts can give me some help? Thanks a lot

Hi, basically it has that on the tag so you don't buy it wholesale, and then take it back to the department store and try to return it for a refund.
