    Hi all,

I have a friend that ordered something on ebay. look under the sellerid jaidakiss164. His auction that just ended, he has had so many people wire him $600, for 1/2 on his rims, as he stated in the auction. He didn't end the auction early as promised, and he also got money from ALOT of people. Now, he has the same auction posted again, different phone number, and no 2 persons have the same address for this guy. He says the rims are in Allentown, PA, but has them wire the money to Springfield, Ma, then he picks the money up 100 miles from that location, in Atteboro, MA. Everyone has complained to IFCC, ebay, and other places. Do you know what usually happens in this situation. I am a seller on ebay, and they grilled me for info, so how did this guy slip through the cracks. I guess they do it everyday. Well, sorry so long, please view the auctions for yourself, tell me what can they all do?

Your friend is screwed. My brother got ripped off in a similar scam. Your firend really should have seen the scam coming. I am sure this guy had like zero feedback. Always bee leery of sending money via wire transfer. I have seen people run similar scams with football tickets.

It says he will take PayPal payments only. Why did your friend pay via Wire?
And yes limp, before negative feed back, he had 0.
Sorry to hear that, but I would say your friend is screwed.

yeah, in the other auction, it is identical to this new one, and he said he didn't have paypal, but now in this one he does!? It's like 8 or more people bought the same rims. Except there are NO rims, this guy just ripped them all off. I'm hoping they can all get some type of justice. It's sad though. Thanks for responding!

    Hi

Your friend should file a non-selling seller alert with Ebay. If the person gets more than 3 of these complaints, they get kicked off - the only trouble is that it doesn't take long for them to start up again with a different user name.

Also, if your friend paid by Paypal or bank transfer, they should get onto the credit card company or bank regarding the transaction. They may be able to reclaim their money if they report it as fraud??

    Just a thought!

I think eBay has buyer protection. But only for a few-hundred-dollars.

I may have this wrong but by the sounds of it you completed the deal outside of Ebay so therefore have no protection with Ebay when the deal goes nasty.
