    Hi,

We are the North American distributor of MPGIO co. in Korea.
You can visit http://www.mpgio.com for product information.
The English site is still under construction :D , but here it is: http://www.mpgio.co.kr/english/index.html

MPGIO is one of the pioneers in mp3 player industry and it's a very popular brand in Korea. Model MG-606f (and 603f) is THE MOST popular mp3 player currently in Korea. MPGIO created one of the very first mp3 players, and is the inventor of lyric display. It's as high quality as it gets.

MPGIO is just starting to export in large quantities worldwide, so please let me know if you are interested in any of the products.
I will discuss with the president of MPGIO to make it happen, and will try to give you the best prices possible.

Shipment will be sent directly from the manfacturer (from MPGIO Korea)
Please send any questions (about product or about the company) to hanmam@gmail.com

    MOQ: 10 per model

We can also supply Hynwon MobiBlu, also direct from the manufacturer.
MOQ for MobiBlu is 100. http://www.mobiblu.com

    Thanks~ 8)

    Thank you,

Here are the prices for all the models currently available.
All the other models can be produced as well if you place order for more quantity.
There is no exact quantity set at the moment for this. I will have to discuss the matter with the president and see what quantity you need to reach in order to purchase different models.

The industry’s normal dealer margin is 20% for mp3 players.
We can give you extra 10%.
There are about 30% dealer margin for most of the models.
Please understand that 1.5GB is a very high cost product and thus only has 20% margin.

    All in USD
    MP-399 w/ 256MB -------------------------------- $97 (MSRP = 139.99)
    MP-380 w/ 128MB -------------------------------- 90 (MSRP = 129.99)
    MP-383 w/ 256MB -------------------------------- 120 (MSRP = 169.99)
    MG-603F w/ 256MB ------------------------------- 104 (MSRP = 149.99)
    MG-606F w/ 256MB ------------------------------- 105 (MSRP = 149.99)
    MP-1000 w/ 1.5GB --------------------------------- 169 (MSRP = 210.99)

MG-606F is the newest and the most popular model.
MG-603F is the smallest mp3 player you will find => my personal favourite.
MP-399 has a voice modulation feature (sex change feature) which will change the voice of a song or your recorded files to its opposite sex.
MP-383 is the most feature-rich and luxurious model that has lyric display and ebook support.
MP-380 is similar to 383 but with longer but slim size.
MP-1000 is the best 1.5GB player you will find in the world.
It’s the newest and is no comparison to RIO’s 1.5G player.

MPGIO also has another model coming out by the end of the month.
Visit http://www.mpgio.co.kr/english/index.html for detailed descriptions of all models.

There are more pictures of these models at http://www.mpgio.com
You’ll need to click around if you don’t know Korean :D

You are welcome to compare these models to any other Korean mp3 players. You will see what a great deal this is.

As I mentioned, you can order any model with any memory size if you place larger orders.

    Please send questions to hanmam@gmail.com
I will frequently update this thread with FAQs an such.

    Thanks~!

    Kevin Park

p.s. I can send you more pictures on request through email. I will send them in .zip format.
Please use an email address that can handle large file attachments.

For 10 units, shipping will be around 10USD (it will be similar worldwide).
More q'ty, and the freight cost will be lower.

For around $10, you will receive the goods in 1 week.

It really depends on methods and time.

    -------------------------------------------------------
    More info:

And if you wish to order other memory models, you need to order minimum of 300 units.

MP GIO is very skilled in engineering and manufacturing, so you can even modify models to meet your needs (ex. change to expandable, change language support) if you place larger q'ty orders.

Do you know if MPGIO will be launching any advertising campaign to raise awareness of their products?

I'm interested in the 1.5gb models, but they will be hard to sell at MSRP againts the juggernaut of Creative Muvos and Ipod Minis.

    Also, do you offer samples?

I understand what you are saying.
Although MP GIO is having lots of campaigns and are sponsors of many events in Korea (appeared in a movie as well), there won't be any advertising campaigns outside Asia anytime soon.

Even other mp3 player companies such as HyunWon, Sorell, and Simsline that have been in North america for sometime still haven't launched any advertisings.

As far as I know, other than iRiver (who uses events like MTV awards and celerities), no other Korean companied are really advertising thorugh media that much. It's more of whether big stores like BestBuy carrys them or not. Then they start getting recognized.

Once you purchase any amount from us, we will try our best to support you and help you sell if you are having any difficulties.
And there are really good points you can emphasize about MP GIO when selling. (as mentioned above)

I realize that iPod's prices have gone down. But you can sell $50 under iPod price ($249) and still make good profit.

Current MSRP for 1.5g isn't a low price compared to its competitions, but that as low as it can go and it's really worth it.

As for samples, MP GIO won't like it if you are ordering 1 unit of sample because it's a hassle for them to send one :D
But I am sure I can make it happen 8)
It's better if sample orders are above 3.

And shipping will be higher and unit cost will also be higher because the current prices are carefully calculated for minimum q'ty of 10.
You can add 3% for sample prices.

Thank you for your interest! :!:

    Hello,
    sounds really good.

Will it be possible to obtain a sample pack of one unit each ? Shipped to Germany. If so, be so kind to provide pricing (LDP shipped) and payment options by email: import@ultrabrands.de

Also, do the units have a CE Sign ? This is a must have if they should be sold in European Union.

Are there english (or perhaps even german) manuals in the package ? How about the language on the package itself ?

How long is the guarantee and what parts are covered by it ?

    Many questions, I know :D

    Thank you,
    Alex

    Thank you for your interest.

First, I will send email for details.

    And here are answers:

Yes, units do have CE sign on the box and/or unit.

English manuals are of course included. For manuals in German, it may be possible to produce if the ordered q'ty is large.
The packages have some Korean on them, but the main language used on everything is English.
Again, they can be customized if the order q'ty is large.
I'll have to check with MP-GIO, but I believe just about anything can be changed depending on q'ty

The warranty covers 1 year = parts and labour

    Regards~

    Just to let everyone know,

We do not distribute Mobiblu from now on.
But MP-GIO is still good

Again, for prices, simply add 3% to the prices above.

    Thanks~

Let me just say, KvP has been EXCELLENT throughout my dealings with him over the past 4 weeks.

As you can see, I requested 3 samples of the MPGio players for inspection and briefing to local retailers in my local area. T3e 3 samples were arranged and MpGIO shipped them off via EMS too me in less then a week. That is EXCELLENT turn around time for sample pieces to be arranged.

Throughout the process Kevin (KvP) has been outstanding in emails and communication. Answers were answerd promptly and he was so couteous to do followup emails to ensure everything was moving along.

The only problems I had was a problem with one of the units. This was rectified immediately even though it was no fault of Kevin's.

These players are truely something unique. The flash based units are heads and shoulders above the rest of the field, especially when compared to 'yum cha' brands. The HDD based unit also has merits but overall was not on par with the quality and functions of the flash based units.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE overall, would highly recommend. [/u]

I recent came across an article about a 5 gig unit by MPGIO coming out. The call it "HD200" (in quotations because it doesn't follow the naming scheme). Will you be able to supply these? Pricing info? Thanks.

HD200 is actually produced by MPIO and not MP-GIO.
Sorry, we cannot supply products other than MP-GIO's.

The newest releases from MPGIO are MG-210P and color LCD screen model that will be release in a couple of months.

    I'll post updates when ready.

    Thanks~

Ah sorry I didn't catch the difference in the brand names. They are quite similar  Is MP-GIO intending to release a similar hard drive based mp3 player (4gigs or more) in the near future? Thanks.
