"hot items" on eBay come and go. With millions of people buying and selling on eBay everyday, just finding a product that will sell is only half the battle. Consider finding products or rare items that are not "all over" eBay. Other important things to remember when selling on eBay is how professional a seller you are. By that, I mean: how professional your auctions look, simple and not too lengthy "terms" (not many buyers read long terms anyway), quick reply on emails, reasonable shipping, etc. etc. You get the picture. In other words, find a great product and market yourself as well as your product. Be honest and always put your customers first.

There is a program called Deepanalysis by Hammer tap, that can gather a lot of data for you about auctions. You can use it to learn a lot of things about titles, good page layouts and such. The program is still a bit shy on the data is can collect but the potential is there.

You can try out the program for free, though a little limited in trial, it is quite functional in most respects. But it is also a bit pricy.

If anyone knows any other data gathering programs, especially at a better price, please post it. This one falls short in certain areas for me.

Actully. Hot items come and go, PERIOD, not just on ebay. Not just on ebay. If a person is looking to only sell "hot items" then unless they have an endless supply of suppliers that continually deal in "hot items', this type of business "plan" will surely fail.

Furthermore, if all you do is sell on ebay, you might never be successful unless you know how to work ebay correctly, because for the most part, you will be making little to no profits there becuase every seller and his brother is selling "hot items" there.
