I have seen his 'courses' advertised online and widly praised. i'm especially interested in his "public Domain"info.
He gets very good reviews and does offer a money-back guarantee.
Anyone deal with him before?
Thanks,

I think you might be able to get better info on info products from other forums that are devoted to such subjects like
http://www.warriorforum.com/forum/
Always take one thin into consideration...
So they are giving you a money-back guarantee, right? So why would they give you your money back for an easily consumed/copied/stolen info product???
Some answers are...
1. The info product does not contain all you need to be successful with that business. The info product being sold with the money-back guarantee is essentially a huge advertisement for backend products you would need to buy in order for both you and the seller of such products need to be successful.
2. They just want your email address to sell (probably not the case with Mr. Silver). Meaning, the info product is completely worthless.
3. The info product does essentially contain all you need to be successful with that business but the author puts you on his mailing list that help him to sell other products and service both directly and indirectly related to the info product he sold you initially. Not such a bad thing especially if you can make the ideas he presents work and can make a significant amount of money with it.
There are probably other answers but these are few main ones. my suggestion is you buy it, use a free email address when you order, and then get your money back if it isn't for you. Most of these internet marketing gurus who have been around a while like Mr Silver will always grant the refund with no questions asked. If not, make sure you use a credit card (without using paypal) so you cn dispute the charge shoudl you have a problem obtaining your refund. -
Most of Yanik's stuff is dated.
And, like most e-books, full of links that I'm sure bring him some nice commissions. In fact, that's why you can get it free. Every time you click it's income.
And, like cxm322 says, they want your addy to pester you forever. -
Also, be careful on that forum that I posted above. It is an internet info product marketing forum. When you ask a question for help, you will get a bunch of responses that will contain links for you to click on to go to a product you can buy that will answer your question. It kinda gets on your nerves, actually. How can you be sure taht a person's answer (that involves you to buy a product) is actually a good answer??? THe answer is you can't.
The fact of the matter is that alot of these info products, especially the ones about internet marketing, do contain some good info, but it is mostly about marketing info products, not tangible products, which is usually a totally different story.
I am probably the ebook marketers worst nightmare. I buy info products all the time, but only if they have an unconditional MBG. I always get my money back no matter what and I always make sure I use a free email account that I use solely for purchases from so-called "Gurus". There is no need in paying for something that is not even regarded as valuable by it's own author such that they are willing to let you steal it from them.
I have no respect for ebook marketers. They are some of the slimiest and laziest internet marketers I have ever dealt with (besides SPAMMERS). You can't ever get a response from them without them telling you to click on an affiliate link to get more info.
I say, if you want it, and they want you to steal it, go ahead, steal it
If more people did this, these ebook marketers would not have a business anymore as not many would even buy the ebook since there is no MBG.
Just like SPAM emails.
You know, I just heard on the Kim Komando show today that a company just got busted by the FTC for sending SPAM out. They were selling vitamins (I think, if I remember correctly). Sure, they got caught and now face up to 5 years in prison, but that is not the best part of the story. The best part is, they were making
$100,000.00
PER DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She did not say whether it was gross or net, but that really doesn't matter now does it. Even if they only netted 1% of their gross they are netting $1,000.00 per day (!!!!!!!!!!!$365,000 per year!!!!!!!!!!!, mind you).
Who fault is it? The people. Those who even bother to click on any link found within these SPAM messages and certianly those that end up buying.
The fact is that the people DO rule. The problem is that they are persuaded and led VERY easily.
Carlo, if I were you, unless you have a real knack for this type of marketing and are interested in info product marketing, I would not waste much time with it. Money can be made, but like everyhting else, it ain't for everyone.
From what I have been reading, the real money is in scripts, so if you are thinking about marketing like this and you are a programmer that understands a certain industry/market that has problems that can be solved with a software program or script, with some info product marketing skill, you could make a bundle, and certianly if that script/software solves a problem shared by successful internet marketers. -

I wonder the people making all that money are the ones putting viruses and adware on computers that are impossible to remove without reformatting your whole platform. That has happened to me a few times. Popups would come up constantly, and toolbars with casino and porn links that were impossible to remove even with spybot or ad-aware. -
Can't say it's not possible, but I doubt it.
Mainly, they're sending you to specific hosts, autoresponders, counters, etc. where they are set up as affiliates.
And you'll notice, if you start checking those info sites, that they all recommend each other. They all are "satisfied users" of the others products.
I think they're "honest" in the fact that they send you to legitimate sites. But, they don't tell you up front that they give you the book so you can make them money clicking the enclosed links. -
Don;t know if these busted spammers were also sending out viruses. She only stated that they were spammer, leading me to believe they were sending out UCE with ads to buy something.
As for the adware and spyware, if you are running XP. remember that it has a function called the windows messenger. Spammers can literally send you pop up ads and your browser does not have to be open. All you need is to be connected to the internet. There is a place within widows that allows you to shut the messenger off comepletely. By default, Windows turns it on when you first install Windows XP. It is up to you to turn it off. (Don't ask me how to do it, I never run the latest OS. I am running Windows 98SE. Not great, but i like it better than XP. I hate running the latest OS because there are always many holes and vulnerable spots in any new software. Once the new Windows OS (Longhorn) comes out, I wil then upgrade to XP. After all, windows stopped supporting 98 last year.)
I have to say that I never got adware or spyware implanted on my systems that were as intrusive and as destroying as you have described. I suggest that you have the following insalled, running, and updated frequently....
1. Antivirus software - Norton AV.
2. A firewall - Norton Internet Security is OK but I hear there are better ones.
And both Ad-Aware by LavaSoft and Spybot-Search and Destroy. Both are free spy/ad ware removal/detection software. The experts I have heard all recommend using both as Ad-aware catches some things that the other does not and also the other way around. Both of these are completely free and can be downloaded at download.com. The first two above are not free and you have to pay for yearly subscriptions (about $30.00/yr), However, Norton AV is actually free with the purchase of just about any Norton product so if you buy NIS, you will get both NIS and NAV and have a year subscription to both.
