when i said that all fake/bad programs have a fee it was not to say only fake programs have a fee. Your title was "NO TRUE DROPSHIPPERS DO NOT CHARGE A FEE IN MY OPINION" I would say most programs do not charge the fee. There are plenty of programs that do not charge a fee....but saying no true dropshippers charge a fee is not 100% correct. For example, DBL Distributing is one of the national leaders and they have an application fee.

There is not a simple litmus test for finding a quality dropship program, but there are sources out there which can help you to find goo programs to work with.

We dropship and I tell everyone to be careful of websites that charge a fee, why in the world would any company charge their customers extra for doing business with them? It just does not make good business "cents" (LOL) There are plenty of good companies out there who just want your business, We also tell everyone where to go to have a free website, we tell them how to get all the freebies on ebay, like how to do the free borders and how to have as many free pictures on their auctions to save them money, we have set up a website to show sellers how to get the "free stuff" http://www.freewebs.com/marilynroesler If you are a seller on ebay you should know how to save money on your listing auctions. And there are free places to go to sell your items other than ebay. But of course ebay is the best of the best since there are millions of people looking to buy there, Also when you get your free website you want to go to sitemeter.com and that way buyers will find you in a google, msn, yahoo search. One of the mistakes in my opinion is that sellers want to make to much on a sale, if you charge to much buyers dont buy and your website just sits there collecting dust, if you only make say 4.00 per sale, everyone will buy and keep coming back for more, so you have many sales that add up quickly. We have some sellers who make a very good living selling off of our website, and there are others who dont put anything into their selling, so you get out of it what you put into it. We welcome everyone without charging and we help anyone who wants help, if you have a problem, you can even email and give us your phone number and we will call you back to help you. Also be careful of the websites that do NOT have a phone number where you can contact them, to me "they are hiding"! Whether you choose to purchase from us or somewhere else, there are millions of buyers out there and you have a great chance of making extra money to help make your life easier. Selling online should NOT COST YOU MONEY, "IT SHOULD MAKE YOU MONEY!" Good Luck Marilyn Roesler

All fake wholesale dropship programs charge a fee. The main reason is because they do not expect you to sell to many products since they have marked up the prices from the real program so they need to make some money. Most real dropship programs do not charge a fee. There are plenty of quality programs that do not charge you to sell their products for them, so many that you do not need to use the programs that have a fee. You can look at most programs at ripoffreport.com or other similar sites. If a program charges a deposit applied against future orders that is fine, because they want to seperate out the commited from the not so serious...but there is no need to use any program that has a fee for joining.

Charging a setup fee is common for the reasons stated above but some dropshippers try charging monthly fees too which IMO is wrong. For more information take a look at http://dropshipforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=780

There are some that do not. But, you have to understand things from their side.

First, a fee eliminates many who just want to buy for themselves or wannabees who are just wasting everyones' time.

Second, any business has time, resources and money invested in establishing a new account. Even one which will never make the first purchase, or one just dipping their toes in the business. By just accepting everyone's Intention to buy, with no Commitment to buy, they can incur considerable expenses with no return.

Third, may who want an initial fee will rebate or credit that amount upon a specific amount of purchases.

Fourth, it costs to start any business.

Fifth, show some of them an established website, doing verifiable sales in related products, and it is very possible they will waive the fees.

It takes money to make money, right from the start.
