How did you name your business? Reply

Hello!

No matter what kind of business you have (eBay or otherwise), what your business is named is of top importance - it's what will always communicate to your potential and current customers what kind of business you are, from the products you sell, to the service you provide, to the manner in which you sell and provide those products and services.

Tell us the name of your business and how or why you came up with that name. How important has that been in effectively marketing your business and selling your products?

For those of you who are just trying to come up with a name - what names have you come up with? Maybe some of our members can offer opinions and advice...

To name our business, the most important i think is what products/service we are selling. So the name better is
match with the product or service.

Hi Everyone!

I named my business MrsLadyGodiva.com. I have only had it one month. I sell lingerie and romantic needs. I don't sell porn, I just sell items that make you and your partner feel special. I felt this name was a good name for my products.

one thing about your site, you need to make links open in same page, middle frame, it makes it more professional.

WOW, that is a loaded question. Like what kind of car do you want.

First, determine what you want your name to do for you, as the man (or lady) said about selling ladies wear and using the name Ms. Lady Godiver (?) that is good.

I promote Flea Markets and Flea Market Vendors, my domain names are: www.FleamarketListings.com - www.FindAFleaMarket.com - www.FleaMarketheadquarters.com and www.NationalVendorsDirectory.com - and I have had over two million hits this year.

But, if you need to use a genric name to sell a variority of merchandise, you need a name people will remember, especially for your website.

To name a Flea Market, it is good to use the name to identify your location, i.e. name of the city you are in, Flea Market Mobile, etc. or a catchie name like Big Daddy Flea Market.

It is a good idea to check the name for a website address because your website name is important to advertise for you.

Hi
I am known on ebay as Fuzzzy_wuzzy. When I enrolled with eBay I signed up as that in error. I am not sure if this is a good business name or not? Probably not. I am a very small seller and was not intending until now to make a Go of it!
What I do sell is a mish mash of all and anything. Advice please on name, how do I go about changing it on eBay with out having to rejoin again etc. I have called myself xcellentproduct on this site. Good or Bad? Also, I have read allot about the pro's and con's about Drop selling on eBay. A guy called Matt uses Esource and seems to be Ok. however he posted his Info here in June 2007. Look forward to any response from you. Thanks
