Why does Tradekey.com allow vendors to sell fake merchandise? Reply

I was recently on Tradekey.com and all the nike shoes I was looking at are apparantely fakes. How can a legitimate company like Tradekey.com allow these scammers to sell their merchandise on their site?

Looking for REAL wholesale sources?

They are a marketplace, listing anyone who will pay, similar to eBay. They do not investigate each seller, but depend on feedback to regulate the market.

Just as a flea market owner or shopping mall isn't responsible for a shop selling fakes, neither is Tradekey.

About the only place I know of that really investigates their recommended suppliers is Worldwide Brands Dropship Directory. It costs for them to do this and you pay for their time and effort. The sellers they list are dependable.

The membership site I promote, with thousands of sources has got to have some crooks mixed in. Keep in mind that a supplier can often ship geniune goods and from time to time slip in some fakes, so it may not always be black and white.

On the Internet, more so than elsewhere, You pay your money and you take your chances.

Sad, but true.

I agree - in the end, trade lead sites, search engines (yes, even Google and Yahoo) are advertising platforms. The companies pay to list their products/ads, and the fact that no extra cost/effort is put into researching the companies is passed on to you in the form of a free resource (hence why Pete mentioned WWB as costing money to access).

It is a sad fact, but that's why we have resources for business owners to use to do the proper research into the companies they want to work with.

my gosk,

I am more concerned with recieving product more then anything. They have soo many people on there who says I have authentic but then run with your money or if you get product, it is fake.

It seems that Tradekey won't test on products to see if it's members are selling fakes.

It's hard to tell who's scammer and who's not, since every supplier on tradekey pays a membership fee.
